Yes, ebay keeps the "Stay Signed In" box checked - even after I uncheck it every time I sign out but there it is again checked when I sign back in! I've tried deleting cookies, cache, memory and all fails. Does anyone have a work-around? Ebay "higher-ups" claim most members want that but I do NOT believe that. How would they know? I've never received a survey on this, has anyone? That box should remain unchecked by default unless a member wants it checked. I consider this a security risk and this angers me greatly!

What browser are you using? Try using a private or incognito browser window; that will ensure that you do not preserve any cookies when you end the session -- once you close the private session, you will be completely signed out.
Otherwise, check your Account Site Preferences -- there is a setting for keeping you signed in at the bottom of the page. Make sure it is unchecked and hit 'apply'.

Thank you, will try that!

@eburtonlab Nope, your idea didn't work. I already had "yes" unchecked in my account preferences. I am disturbed by this because when I go to ebay and even before I even sign in to ebay with my password, at the top it already says "Hello (w/ my first name)! Together with my ebay ID and the "keep me signed in box checked, it only needs my password to enter! Am I wrong to be concerned about this? Other sites I use a password with never have the "Keep me signed in" box pre-checked. By the way I use the Firefox browser on a computer.

The first name you see is stored in you eBay cookies, I believe. That is, if I sign out and restart my browser, I still see the first name at the the upper left with a (sign in) message. But if I delete my eBay cookies and restart the browser, that goes away and just becomes a generic (sign in) link.
The private or incognito browser does work as I described, but you will still need to delete your cookies first, otherwise the cookies left over from your non-private or non-incognito session will still be available.

I thought I did it the way you suggested but I'll go through it again here in a bit. Thanks!
