First I get a message from ebay saying some of my listing do not comply with ebay policy but when I click on the link to see the listings, it just takes me to ebay's home page.
Then I call customer service and I'm told the problem is the link to my store in the description. Links are not allowed, I'm told.
I call again and I'm told the ebay message was a mistake and the link in my description is okay.
Wow! What a cluster foxtrot. How do I get all that time back? Oh well...

Could you please share the link that errors to the home page? I'd like to find out where they thought they were sending people.
For instance, these are valid links to guidance pages in Seller Hub that would display which listings require updating, and I suspect they were trying to construct a link like one of these:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active/guidance-returns
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active/http-content
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active/active-content
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active/contact-info
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active/require-product
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/missing-zip

Here it is--I got it as well. Thank you for your helpful links, but none of them revealed whatever it is that isn't satisfactory to them either!

Thank you for that link!
It looks like the link was designed (correctly or not) to go to the home page, as there was no redirect error on it. Where in the letter did you find the link? This is what I think the letter looks like, based on a letter I received yesterday that was loaded with item numbers and issues:
Compliance letter - empty
You may also want to read the instructions on this post to determine what issues exist on your listings. In checking with one user, their listings were missing "Item Specifics". Would you be willing to share which issues were reported for your listings?
