Ebay Buy shipping with USPS is reusing recent tracking numbers

Bought shipping today. Have not shipped. Tracking number shows shipment was scanned yesterday and is in transit.

Cannot make the automated assistant open a trouble ticket. No agents on duty. Unacceptable

Wait til tomorrow or Monday and try to contact an agent then and get a ticket. Having the same issue and this will probably turn into a bigger issue for Ebay.

Any update on this? I used one of these recycled tracking numbers to ship an item on 9-28.  Now the item tracking shows only the previously used number and not mine. Buyer did not receive. No one knows where the shipment ended up.
