EBay (in Europe) omits entering orders into Buyer's Purchasing History, Returns are not possib

I live in the US. While in Europe, I ordered Oct 12th ‘24 on Ebay an Apple Power Cabel for MacBookPro from a seller in Germany. I paid with PayPal. At the time I did not record seller’s info. Ebay did not issue an order confirmation #. I logged again into MyEbay on Oct 14th There was no record of that item in my purchasing history. I assumed the purchase was invalid and orderd another Apple Cable from a different seller in Germany. While I proceeded to pay with PayPal, the following message appeard in red latters on the ordering page: “There was an error with your previous purchase”. No explanation was given. Ebay entered the second Apple Cord order into my purchasing history as order # 22-xxxxx-xxx94. That Nr corresponds with PayPal records. The item arrived with DHL the next day. On Oct 18th the item I had ordered on the 12th arrived via DHL from the other seller. On the plastic envelope I can read in tiny Numbers a 12 digit “reference Number” # 05-xxxxx-xxx30. It corresponds with PayPal records. I have the addresses of both seller, but not their return policies. I would not have orderd the second Apple cable, both ad Ebay confirmed / listed my purchase. Strangley enough, Ebay removed a fe days later the image and information of my second Apple cord order, but kept the purchae in my Purchase hostory.

Ebay does not provide any HELP post for items THEY do not enter into Purchase history, wherefore the BUYER has no recourse to request a return / Refund.

The disappearance of an order in Buyers’ Purchasing History is suspect. So is the disappearance of the option to give “Buyer Feedback” for order # 22-xxxxx-xxx94, due to policy violations”.!?!    I want to return the item # 05-xxxxx-xxx30 as it arrived 3 days after # 22-xxxxx-xxx94 arrived.  I request full refund of Euro 49.99. Ebay should assumes cost of returning item to seller. To this day, the first order for Apple Charge Cable is absent from my Ebay Purchasing History.

Dear EBay Helper Forum: Please initiate that Ebay create return rules for items EBay neglectsd to list in Buyer’s Purchsing History. Ebay should resolve my personal matter speedily without regard to sellers return terms. The seller did nothing wrong. Ebay did. Is EBay in the US different from EBay in Switzerland, and Germany?

Is it possible you made that first purchase using a different eBay account? Or as a guest?

If you are certain you purchased using this account and that the listing or the seller has been removed by eBay, see here:

"What happens if I bought something from a seller who's been removed from eBay?

If you haven't paid for the item, you won't need to. The item should've been removed from your purchase history. We encourage you to look for a similar item from a different seller.

If you already paid for the item, please follow these steps:

  1. Wait 10 days for the item to arrive.
  2. If you haven't received it within 10 days, please let us know your item hasn't arrived.

If you receive your item, but want to return it, you can request a refund."

Hello eburtonlab, your reply seems to address this problem.

I will follow your advise. FYI, I did receive the item, altho I orderd it first, it arrived last.

The seller is a Hamburg based German Postoffice franchise partner, AND a DHL frnachise partner. Thank you very much for finding and forwarding option on how to deal with this unusual situation. Warmly, LWA.

Re: EBay (in Europe) omits entering orders into Buyer's Purchasing History, Returns are not possib

Dear eburtonlab: The apple cable I ordered 10/12 was paid for with PP, no email confrom was sent for it; it arrive 10/18. Because that item never showed up on Ebay records I ordered 10/14 another Apple cable, which arrived 10/15. I put it to use right away. Below sceeenshots of what happened when I tried to initiate a return. It can;t be traced.

I found the sender/sepper of first order online: its a franchise German Postoffice and DHL franchise participant operating out of a convenience store front in Hamburg. Its a legit franchise biz shipping stuff; not an electronics store. They seem to operate under the radar of Ebay DE (Deuschland). Remember: Right when I ordered the second Apple cable, I got that headliner: "There was aproblem with your previous order....". but not saying what problem. If it were a small amount I'd let it go. But its nearly $ 60. eBay states that one can write to them in CA. I may do this tomorrow, but question whether they assume responsibility for what eBay.de (Germany) does. Just want to tip you off one this variation of a theme, since you help the eBay community. Mey be you can talk to their leaders about such a scenario?  🙂 Thank you. LWA

Re: EBay (in Europe) omits entering orders into Buyer's Purchasing History, Returns are not possib

Sorry, sending screenshots was denied. I entrd the ORDER # 05 -xxxxx-80730 into the "REQUEST RETURN box. This # is printed on the DHL envelope, AND in my PayPal account. YET eBay has no record of it. Th "reques Retunr DOES NOT WORK. I took screenshot with eBay reply but cannot mail to you or anyone else. My europan friends here who witness this situation WILL NEVR ORDER from eBAY. I should write this to eBay in Califrnia. Funny enough, I ived years ago a few miles from where their HQ are....... LWA

Re: EBay (in Europe) omits entering orders into Buyer's Purchasing History, Returns are not possib

Hi again, your reply was thorough but did not lead to a solution, because eBay did not acknowledge knowing of order # -5-12190-80730. i suppose anyone an now attempt to track that #. I have records that this number wa used by the seller, printed on the package, and conformed by PPal. But eBay -   well it sucks. Whle we in this community are spinning wheels - with me investing dozens of hours - eBAY itelf is nowher to be found to be held accountable. BAD BAD BAD BIZ. They certainly have not exhaused all the ways their records can get corrunpted, while those of PayPal and DHL are intact !!!

MY PROBLEM is FAR from SOLVED unless the seller in Hamburg accepts my item as retunr and refunds. A German Postoffice itself far from Hamburg (Seller locatio) discuraged me from taking that risk of sending the Apple cable back to an entity far away.

You must be signed in to the same eBay account you used to make the original purchase in order to return the item through eBay.

To contact eBay, use the chat assistant that you reach from the Help & Contact page to request a chat with an agent or a call back.

What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.

Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.

If nothing else works, try this link:

https://www.ebay.com/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

If you are unable to get a call back, that may be for several reasons; a location outside of North America, VOIP phone, and call blockers (personal or that of a service provider) are often issues.

Try contacting eBay via social media:
