Discrepancy between listing count in seller hub and Store.

Once again I'm seeing a discrepancy in listings count between my seller hub and my store.

Seller hub shows 4386 items listed my store is only showing 4284. There are no duplicate listings.

If I end old listings and relist them like I did when this happened last year, the count continues to decrease in my store even more while my seller hub consistently shows 4386. 
Frustrating.

Ah, I may have an answer. You'll have to wait 24 hours to see if the number changes. You have a lot of new items listed today. So this could be related to your store search indexing the new number of listings.

Those items were the old ones that I relisted. They all show in my store.

Right - they show in your store, but they may not be reflected in the count.

We've definitely seen errors with the count mis-matched in the past and this is probably an error.

But since you have so many new items listed I think it's worth checking back tomorrow to see.

Definitely an error....we'll see what tomorrow brings.

My numbers have been off for over a year and ebay has yet to fix the problem. It was fixed once for about a week then back to being off.

UPDATE: 

It seems eBay does hide listings that are, what they consider to be "old listings". I just finished deleting listings that were 6 months to 1 year old. I relisted those listings and now my active listings count and the listings count in my store are identical. It did take me a couple of weeks to complete. Truly a huge pita, but it's done. I'm a little OTC so the count discrepancy drove me bananas. Not looking forward to doing all this next year.

Very interesting - I may have to comb the numbers on one of my accounts and see if I can replicate what you said about old listings. If I find the time to do that on my smaller personal account not my larger biz account I’ll let you know.

The easiest way to find old listings is to go to https://www.ebay.com/mys/active 

and click oldest listings.
