For years ebay would send a reminder email/message to respond to a return request or to send a response to a case and the email would be sent just after midnight the day AFTER the deadline to respond.
this email would be followed up by a second email usually 30-90 minutes later (also in the 1-2am PST timeframe) saying that you took too long to respond and ebay is stepping in and giving a transaction defect.
I Don't know about you, but I typically can't look at an email and go back in time to respond to it sooner than it arrived even if i wasn't sleeping in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!
This has resulted in many defects over the years some of which were not removable because of strict 30-day time limits to appeal. A transaction defect affects you account for 12 months but you can only appeal for 30 days is not a fair policy?!?!
Let me know if they ever fixed their messaging system and if possible remove the defect causing the current below standard issue. case id 5345402356
