I dont know how to tag anyone at EBay who would look into this, help from the community would be useful, but this is possibly the worst and most ineffective change to the listings view.. I am talking about promotions (NOT promoted listings) and I'm not talking about sale discounts...I will explain:
1- When you look at a listing thumbnail, there USED to be a banner or script showing your promotion (Usually a BOGO special, or an extra discount off the entire purchase, or free shipping etc)
Now, you can see the strikethrough if there is a DISCOUNT, but a while ago EBay changed something and eliminated the strikethrough of the item's price & any script showing any promotions.
Luckily, enough people must have complained because they brought back the strikethrough on discounts, but never brought back showing any promotions. (Not Promoted Listings)
2- Instead, it was only visible once you clicked on a listing, and it was located next to the price.
This was a terrible move, as a buyer only knows about a promo IF they clicked on the listing then subsequently the item description...
3- NOW, as of a few days ago, the view has been changed AGAIN, and your PROMOTION is now buried BELOW the description and intermingled with the 5 other lines of various promoted listings and recommendations.
THIS IS COMPLETELY USELESS!!!
For years I have offered a BOGO promotion that was a great deal for customers and increased my sales every time I ran the promo.
Now my promo has been used 2 times in the last 2 months, and I dont know if anyone is paying attention..
EBAY PLEASE CHANGE THIS, WHAT IS THE POINT OF OFFERING A PROMOTION IF CUSTOMERS HAVE NO IDEA ITS BEING OFFERED??? SERIOUSLY??
A promotions' details should be visible from the thumbnail of the listing like it used to be.
Please change this..

I do not have any helpful feedback other than I completely agree with you. I have a promotion where if you buy 5+ items you save 25%. The promotion previously displayed prominently near the top of the listing and there was previously a banner in the search results, showing the active promotion. Now the promotion is virtually hidden and at the very bottom of the page where nobody looks. I am not sure who decided upon this redesign, but it does not appear to be well thought out.

Would you please check into the issue described in this thread?
I know this issue occurred on my account recently and then seemed to have been resolved after I reported it to CS, but it looks like it is back again.
We need to have our promotions displayed prominently in search, in our stores and on the view item pages.

Thanks for replying, this issue is worse than I initially thought, I cannot believe anyone at EBay actually did this on purpose, so they dont realize the ineffectiveness to this design blunder, and I dont think they realize that this is a huge mistake where NOONE benefits.
I just went through some more listings, and the "Promotion" was further down than I could have imagined.
Let me please explain so devon@ebay can also fully understand this:
-First you have to see an item
-Then you have to already have enough knowledge of how ebay works to see the item description. You have to click on a completely new tab (either hovering over the item or clicking on item description) HUGE Mistake by the way... (people dont even know the info they want is available but they dont even realize it)
- Then, IF you scroll down you get 1 or 2 lines of other sellers' sponsored items for sale.
- THEN, IF you keep scrolling (assuming you didnt click on another Ad & completely get lost) and as you scroll you will NOW see the SELLERS Item Description! (assuming you knew to click on this tab in the 1st place)
- THEN...
-IF...
- You continue to scroll BELOW the Item Description you will see 5 or 6 lines of the following:
Other Sponsored items, Other simlilar items, Sellers other items, etc.
-THEN... IF... you happen to notice that one of those lines has a store promotion!!!!
THIS WILL BE YOUR FIRST EXPOSURE TO THE PROMOTION (In my example, a buy 3 get 1 free special)
To Summarize:
-A Promotion used to be visible next to the price on the listing. Boom. Easy. Perfect. Leave it alone....
- Now, a potential buyer will have to complete 4-6 steps, AND scroll anywhere between 5 and 12 lines down.. JUST to even know there is a promotion available....
Oh, and by the way, now that potential buyer better click on that exact banner, otherwise they may get lost navigating their way back and being able to connect the original item with this newly found "promotion" (sorry bout the sarcasm but nothing confuses buyers more than a lines of other stuff intermingled with an items information- this is an example of intention & execution being REALLY far apart )
