Creating and listing items - Error

Now going on 6-days with no resolve from Ebay tech.

Along with us many are getting error messages when they create a new listing and try to save it or try to list an item from their saved inventory.

The error message reads:

It looks like there's a problem with this listing.
  • You have entered an invalid product name.

We have spoken to Ebay several times and we were given a ticket number. Right now our hands are pretty much tied when it comes to listing any saved items or creating new ones.

There is absolutely nothing we can do and I dont think Ebay Customer Support can do to much either.

Re: Creating and listing items - Error

Sure - but some bad news: I've found that when copying an existing template to a new template, it's not preserving the Item Location, and somehow it's changing my third shipping option from Fedex 2Day to UPS 2Day. I don't have the energy to report these issues because I know they won't get fixed, and at this point I'm just glad that the template functionality has been fixed. That's probably part of eBay's plan.

Re: Creating and listing items - Error

Hi.

Im sorry to read that you now have an additional headache to deal with. I hope that gets straightened out for you soon.

I realize that there will always be issues, that goes without say with such a large company as Ebay.

My main gripe is the lack of internal communication.

From what I understand, it is almost non-existant between Ebay Tech and Customer Service.

There is so much time and man-power wasted.

Re: Creating and listing items - Error

Been having the same message for days now, when I tried to edit several 30 days listings that had an error in it.

After working with eBay for years, I can only say there's only 2 kinds of people working at eBay:

- completely ignorant, missing any knowledge to help you at all

- mostly malicious, who would do anything to scrape that few $$ or cents from you.

For this issue, I tend to think its the later, eBay probably had a corporate meeting where they concluded that they need to raise a few more millions from their sellers, and what better way that arranging yet another bug, to maybe cause the sellers to relist a few items and thus give them their precious fees.

Most incompetent company (BY FAR!!!!) that I've ever had to deal with.
