This is on the 1969 Dodge Coronet Chart..Line marked with Orange X do not nor ever have existed or made by Chrysler Corp. Keep in mind this Chart is used in the "Guaranteed Fitment" policy and then layered with the buyer can return and seller pays policy....with that being said, Most sellers and buyers are what can be considered "Casual" and have little if any knowledge of Cars that actually exists that were made by the manufacturer, in this case Chrysler Corp. and as such when entering the correct information as a seller using the compat chart and would assume that the check box options are of vehicles that actually exists and happens to picks one of the options with the orange X that was never made and a buyer chooses might choose it, only to find out the part(s) did not fit...This only leads to confusion on both buyers and sellers end. True it is the responsibility of both seller and buyer to know what they are selling and buying...in a perfect world...but with endless combinations and vehicle that never existed ESPECIALLY ON OLDER VEHICLES. I used to have dealership mechanics come up to the parts counter and ask for a part, and when questioned what it was for, I would get the "they are all the same"---NO they are not always the same, and they should know better...and unless they had a work order with the VIN on it the did not get any parts...Unless one has worked on the parts counter one has no idea at the information required in many cases to get the right part! Example: Recalled parts that have been discontinued and superseded with a new part and part number., Running changes during assy line where a VIN is required to match with build dates if the vehicle has the old part or the running change part on it. When you get to Interior and Exterior trim it can be a challenge even for the most experienced parts man...Again you cannot layer policies upon information that is not correct...Again this is with just this specific 1969 Dodge Coronet listing....The ENTIRE Chrysler Plymouth Dodge section is filled with inaccuracies., I do not know enough about Ford or GM to make any observations...
AND IN EBAYS ATTEMPT TO PUT A BANDAID ON THE COMPAT CHART they wiped out years of listings applications and caused endless hours of having to revise every listing. In many cases the entire PLYMOUTH sections were deleted leaving only a few of the Dodge listings (in a case where the part fit both)..in addition Chrysler made a 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee A12 440 Six Pack (3x2bbl carbs) which is NOT listed here and the 440 Six Pack Motor uses internal parts that differ for a 440 4 barrel engine! a 69 Bee with the 440 six pack, lets say the camshaft...it is specific ONLY to this motor and using what is called Low taper Lifters...and not for a 440 4bbl.
