Changing settings to the original www.ebay.com!

Hi. I have a problem with my account. I had it set up on "ebay.com" for about two years with trading in US dollars. But now my account opens in "cz.ebay.de" with a very poor translation into Czech and with trading in Euros. I don't want this bad Ebay. I don't understand that bad Czech and I don't want to trade in Euros. How can I go back to the original settings?

I don't know how to get out of this, I'm desperate. I've tried previous advice like Chrome in incognito mode and Opera but nothing works. I can't set up a VPN. Does anyone have a tried and tested guide on how to get to ebay.com from Czech Republic?

I have the same problem...

Multiple devices and multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) with same result. I have one try to get to ebay.com and then I'm being to be redirected to useless joke cz.ebay.de. Delete all page data for ebay sites and browser restart works, but usually only for one time.

This redirection happens by ebay.com because when I use VPN my browser stays on .com version. I agree the cz.ebay.de is total rubbish!

Finally i have found solution which works for me. Opera with VPN allows to reach ebay.com.

Hi All, the "simple" solution is to block "cz.ebay.de" domain in your web browser. I use Firefox, therefore I followed the hints mentioned here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1260799

• Made a file called "policies.json" and entered the following into that file:

 "policies": {
   "WebsiteFilter": {
     "Block": ["*://cz.ebay.de/*"]
   }
 }
}

• Created a folder C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\distribution and copied the file there.
• Re-start Firefox and it should stay on the ebay.com domain 👍

Exactly the same is happening to me during past few weeks. It drives me crazy. My current physical location is in the Czech Republic, but my account is registered in the US and I do have US shipping addresses. ebay.com is often redirected to cz.ebay.de It happens in various browsers (Chrome, Edge, Explorerer) at various PCs and various OSes (Win7, Win10). Deleting cookies and restarting browser sometime hleps. Sometime not. When it helps, it works for few day before the redirect returns. Other sites, like www.ebay.de and www.ebay.co.uk are not redirected, only ebay.com

The same problem..  Funny thing is that i have multiple computers and on one its working fine with Chrome, on second i had to use Firefox workaround..
   Is someone able to replicate this trick in google Chrome?

Here is solution for Chrome, i tried to quite and lot Chrome redirect extensions and windows host file solutions, but i never was able to set it up..
  Extensions - it ended with too many redirects are errors, i was able to disable cz.ebay.de, but not set up rule to rewrite all cz.ebay.de to ebay.com and get ebay.com page..
  Host file - there is quite and lot ebay servers and their ips and you need to know all of them..

     Stil maybe someone more skilled with these can them make them too.

This is working for chrome, delete cookies only for ebay servers, because otherwise will lost all cookie settings for all sites, which is annoying..
  From solution below => that use some new computer / virtual machine, browser where is not cookies yet, should work too. I had that redirect problem only on 1 my computers, after first sale or maybe i by mistake once log into ebay.de, as i saw used with ebay - uk, it did not expect that it would cause some problem.

To delete cookies in Chrome for only ebay.com (or any specific site), follow these steps:

Steps to Delete Cookies for ebay.com:

1. Open Chrome Settings:

   • Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of Chrome.
   • Go to Settings.

2. Navigate to Privacy and Security:

   • Scroll down (or search) for Privacy and Security.
   • Click on Cookies and other site data.

3. Find Site-Specific Cookies:

   • Click See all site data and permissions or See all cookies and site data.
   • In the search bar at the top-right of this page, type ebay.

4. Delete Cookies for eBay:

   • You’ll see entries for ebay.com, cz.ebay.de, and possibly others like www.ebay.com.
   • Click the trash can icon next to each entry to delete them.

5. Restart the Browser:

   • After deleting the cookies, close and reopen Chrome to ensure the changes take effect.

     I still have problem to add Czech bank account to receive ebay payments, maybe someone found other solution for it.. Problem is:
     "Ebay requires direct debit, which Czech banks do not have. However, we have SEPA direct debit, but for that we need to know the counter account number, and eBay support will not give us that."

Deleting chrome ebay cookies works sometime.After it works, the problem still returns after few days 😞

Here's help for my czech friends:

- Smažte všechny cookies na ebay.com

- Jděte do nastavení Windows:
Soukromí a zabezpečení > Poloha > Zjišťování Polohy: Vypnout

- Povolit přepsání polohy: Vypnout

- Historie polohy: Vymazat

Pokud to nestačí, ještě zablokujte pro ebay.com čtení polohu v prohlížeči
