Cannot Search Active Listing Through Item Descriptions

I put codes in my item descriptions so I can search later and add a comment indicating which consignment customer it belongs to. Now, when I search for the code, all my active listings appear in the search list rather than it sorting them out by my code. Any suggestions?

If you are referring to what I think you are, which is inserting something like #120 in the descriptions of listings for items belonging to a particular consignee, then it's working mostly ok.

I searched for #120 withing your 520 or so items and it returned 56 hits - all the ones I checked had the #120 tag in them and there were a few where the search engine matched the number 120 in the title. Search appears to ignore the # symbol.

Not sure if there is some sort of url encoding type approach to be able to utilize the # sign in search (I tried substituting %23 which failed, and a few other variants with no success), but you might try experimenting with using something like XX120XX instead of #120 - that may be more targetable in search, and might work better.
