ebay gift card issues

Everytime I try to check out and pay with a gift card, new or stored, i keep getting this message " You can't use a gift card or eBay Bucks to buy an eBay gift card." Only I am not trying to buy a gift card, only using one to purchase items in cart, and not any gift cards in the cart. Anyone run into this before.

I was trying that today and it says your purchase can't be processed
