I haven't been able to edit the vehicle fitment compatibility chart for about a week now on any of my listings. Is there currently something wrong with it? I have tried different browsers and different computers and it is not allowing any changes to it on my listings. I can only view the compatible vehicles like a customer.

I have chatted with eBay twice about this. Both times they said it's something being worked on. Thing is, that makes it sound like it's a glitch in the system. Something to be fixed. But what gets me is the edit button is now gone and there are clickable eyes that have been added so you can view your list, but not change it. Someone had to add those eyes. It looks to me more like the change was intentional, than a glitch.

It appears that listings that have not yet sold we are fully able to update the chart. However, listings that have had sales we an no longer able to and just get the "eye".

But that's ridiculous! I can understand that if a buyer makes a purchase based on compatibility and it's wrong that a seller may try to change the compatibility so it doesn't look like it's their fault. But all changes appear in revisions. eBay would know if that happened.

We're not perfect. We make mistakes. But, if we notice a mistake in compatibility and are not allowed to fix it, whose fault is it then? I have spoken and chatted with eBay about this and both times I have stated that eBay had better protect me against a "not as described" if a buyer purchases an item based on compatibility that I can't fix. The associate I spoke to said it is on record and with the chat, I have a copy of our conversation. But who knows if that will help if the situation ever arises.

You would think that eBay would do all they could to keep "not as described" to a minimum. They are so into the "buyers experience" lately. Preventing us from correcting the compatibility will only create more issues than it will prevent.

Correct. Additionally, if new years come out for vehicles that are also compatible with parts there is no way to add the new years and compatibility to those listings.

I think eBay actually listened!! I just went into several of our listings, including one that before would not let me change compatibility, and was able to make changes! No more eyeballs!!

Yes, same issues. Ebay also informed me it is a system problem. I have tried three browsers. I can delete all cookies, etc., and it will work once. After that, it does not show up again. And, I dislike deleting my cookies as I then have to receive codes, etc., from several sites that I go to to be able to log in again. . . Pain, this is.

As a workaround, try using a private or incognito browser window to sign in to eBay and edit compatibility. That will ensure you have no problem with an old eBay cookie, and it will allow you to keep the cookies in your original browser.

If deleting browser history is necessary, use a separate browser just for editing compatibility so you do not have to lose useful history for your other sites.
