Can't log in to ebay using IE11

How many buyers using IE11 are just giving up and going elsewhere?

IE11 is end of life and isn't supported anymore to the best of my knowledge. According to eBay support the site is only designed to be compatible with Chrome. Now the Microsoft Edge is Chromium based I would assume that browser would load the site properly as well.

Well Firefox is back to using the idiot Google captcha and that doesn't work either.

A LOT of people still use IE11 and it works fine.

Hi @pink.fish.rule

I am using Firefox 70.0 and I have not run into CAPTCHA.

I read on another post that someone using Firefox 69.0.3 has run into CAPTCHA.

That's true, but at end-of-life it not only will no receive support (including updates and patches) but will progressively degrade in function and security - that's something to be concerned about.

I use Firefox, including when I was data mining and chewing through huge numbers of websites and data, and didn't get a CAPTCHA - that's something to investigate why that's happening to some and not others.

Firefox 70.0 64 bit and Opera 63.0.3368 and I've never seen a captcha

Yeah it may "work" but I wouldn't be shocked if people run into more and more random problems. I am about ready to ditch Firefox for the same reasons. The lack of official support is causing too much headache for daily tasks.

My issue with IE11 not working to log in is that this is NOT a MS update. This is something ebay has done when they changed the login screen (just more useless cosmetic changes).

Of COURSE the mods move this to Technical board.

It's not the TECHNICAL part of it was posting about but the CONSEQUENCES to sellers & buyers.

Sometimes the mods have as much AI as the ebay bots do.

I thought they actually took it down!  I was just going to message you on what happened to your post.  I had to go to your profile to find it again. Smiley Frustrated
