Same thing is happening to me. I can click on sort within the search options but nothing I click on will stick. Just goes right back to closet match. Can’t sort by newly listed or ending soonest etc.. Has anyone found a solution for this?

I'm seeing no problems using either Firefox 31 or Firefox 3.6.24.
Could be one of those newest browser issues that are appearing more often.
Total shot in the dark: Maybe a manual override would work?
You can control the search sort via a _sop=nn parameter in the search URL.
Do your search, and then change the nn value for the &_sop parameter in the URL in the address bar to the correct value for the type of sort you desire (if there isn't already a &_sop=nn parameter in the URL you need to add one. ). Then hit enter to load that new URL.
Sort: (top right) _sop=15 Price+Shipping: lowest first _sop=16 Price+Shipping: highest first _sop=10 Time: Newly listed _sop=7 Distance: Nearest First _sop=12 Best Match _sop=1 Time: Ending soonest
So for example, if you want to sort by "ending soonest" but it is currently "best match", if there is an existing _sop=12 value change it to be _sop=1 in the URL and load that page. If there isn't one, just tack &_sop=1 on the end of the URL and load.

Yep, I’m using it on an iPad and all my saved searches and any new searches will only sort as Best Match, no matter what sort option I select.
