Can't Upload a Video to my Ebay Listing

I have tried many times, and I'm sick of it.

I have had this problem in the past, and again today. I try to upload a video to my Ebay listing. It simply won't work. At first, it will get stuck at some percentage (47% or 52%) and sit there forever.

I try again, and I will get a blue check mark, which I would ASSUME means the upload was successful, but no, it means nothing of the kind and apparently is stuck again. I tried several times with the blue check mark, the last time, I waited for over 1 hour , then I click "revise it" and I get a message that my video is still uploading.

The video file is 34.7 MB in size.

So I had to upload the video to Youtube, and include a link in the description, which is not desirable. I'm sure there are many viewers who don't like clicking on outside links.

Granted, I have a very slow DSL internet connection, but it uploads to Youtube just fine, and I have been able to upload videos to Ebay before, but once again, today it's just not working.

FIX THIS please. This has happened in the past, and I cant believe I"m still having this problem.

Re: Can't Upload a Video to my Ebay Listing

Although ebay says it accepts .MOV videos. That is the format with an iphone. If you convert the video to an .MP$ it works.

Re: Can't Upload a Video to my Ebay Listing

I realize this is an old post but I just looked for this answer so it might still be relevant. I saw your response and tried it but I used the browser on my phone. The only problem I had is it kept opening my app when I login. So although it was a bit annoying, I deleted the app, listed my item with the video through the browser with no problems and then just reinstalled the app. It worked. So your post helped. Thank you. Hope this helps too.

Re: Can't Upload a Video to my Ebay Listing

This is indeed quite worrisome.  I have spent/wasted 2 hours attempting to upload a 1280x720 video that is 49mb and only 28 seconds long.  eBay locks or times out each time I try.  Super glad I didn't waste any more time before I searched for this issue on google.

I guess eBay isn't ready for video descriptions at this time.  Oh well, nobody is shopping here anyway!

Re: Can't Upload a Video to my Ebay Listing

This is so ANNOYING! I take the time to make small videos for some of my items and to show the customer they work but out of nowhere for close to a month it will act like it is being listed but then when I go to look at the listing while active it does not show the video for the buyer to see, I go back to edit listing and then first thing it does is pops up something saying that my video could not be processed! I DO NOT get it! I have used the video option since they created it and I have always done it the same exact way. I post 10-30 second videos to show the buyer the item works. I didn't even notice it was not using the videos until just last week so I went back to see when they stopped working and the last video that is still good is from December 4th. I do not make videos for all of my listings just items that I want to show working for example a Lionel locomotive working on the track. So the last listing I found that the video is NOT on when it is supposed to be is from January 6th so that means all of the listings with videos for 3 weeks are NOT even active or on the listings! I have called ebay now 3x about this and just keep getting the same thing over and over and over that they will get back to me within 24-48 hours and to not worry they will fix it. I DO NOT GET WHY IT IS SO HARD TO FIX THIS ISSUE!! HELLLLP! PLEASE!

Re: Can't Upload a Video to my Ebay Listing

If it only affects sellers it won’t get fixed. Like the rest of big tech they have a hands off approach now it seems. Self help is the new support.
