Can no longer access my Messages using Chrome; just started a couple weeks ago.

Hi all.  I've been using Chrome and Windows 10 with Ebay for quite some time now with no problems.  Recently, when I hit the message button nothing happens.  The address bar displays the correct address (https://mesg.ebay.com/mesgweb/ViewMessages/0/All&_trksid=p3984.m2295.l3912), but the page remains blank.  When I switch to my Edge browser I get my Messages fine.  I already contacted Ebay with no luck.  Everything else still works fine with Chrome; just not the Message center.  I don't think I changed anything.  Any and all help much appreciated.  Larry

Alternate links to try:

From eBay only:

https://mesg.ebay.com/mesgweb/ViewMessages/0/ebay

Sent messages only:

https://mesg.ebay.com/mesgweb/ViewMessages/1

If you are able to view your messages in another browser (or an incognito Chrome browser window), I would suggest trying to clear your browsing data starting with cached images and data and then trying to delete eBay cookies or possibly history.

If that does not help, try temporarily disabling any extensions -- it is possible that one of them (such as an ad blocker, perhaps) might be causing an issue. Extensions are less likely to be the problem if you can see your messages in an incognito window in Chrome, which should be using the same extensions.

Hey, Larry!

Not that it helps much, but I'm using a Chrome browser with a Windows 10 OS, and I'm not experiencing any problems accessing my eBay messages . . .

You are spot on! Thank you so much!...Turns out Adblocker was the culprit.

You are welcome!

Glad to hear you were able to resolve the problem. Hopefully anyone else that runs into a similar situation will find this thread.

If this problem only occurs when looking at messages, you should still be able to use your ad blocker, just add mesg.ebay.com to your whitelist if you have not done so already.

Yet again another excellent suggestion that this 72 year old computer novice would not have thought of! Larry

Wonder if it's another adblocker Easylist false positive due to an overly aggressive rule (like the previous sold item ghosting issue)?

Goes off to test.... Grumbling, Sold item ghosting issue due to Easylist fail only happened in Adblock Plus 3 and up versions..grumble.. see if custom FF52 instance with ABP 3.5 installed still in temp sandbox.... deleted...grumble..... had to reinstall the whole mess.... grumble....

Does not appear to be another Easylist issue - eBay messages page loaded fine in Firefox 52.9.0 with Adblock Plus 3.5.2 (latest ver) and Easylist (latest ver) installed.

After thinking on it it occurs to me that that sold item issue may have been an AdblockPlus+EasyList only issue (don't recall if anyone using another adblock program with Easylist ran into it)

So this might be an Adblocker+Chrome only issue, default lists and/or any default rules may be different, or OP may have some custom rules or other subscription lists that are the culprit here.

Also might have something to do with some weird interaction with the Chrome update at or after beginning of month.

All that is total throwing stuff against the wall to check for stickage.
