I have CUSTOMIZE YOUR SEARCH set for Gallery View and 192 items per page. Apparently eBay doesn't care what I set and save since it keep showing me List View with 48 items per page. Just one of many glitches on this horrible website.

I believe that 48 items per page in list view is the default for category browsing, which is different than actually searching (and is not customizable as far as I can tell).
If you enter keywords into the search field and hit "search", you should see the results in gallery view with 196 items per page.
If you want a very general search that will turn up most items in that category, try pasting this into the search field:
(0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,card,cards,lot,baseball)
That should find any item with any number in the title, or any of those words.

I was able to get it to take your default settings, but first I had to explicitly choose "gallery view" from the dropdown before I selected "customize". Otherwise it kept going back to "list view".

I have this exact same problem and have to "reset" my custom preferences EVERY SINGLE DAY! Once set, the saved settings work for the rest of the day. BUT, the next day I have to redo it all over again. Many times when I open the customize view options my previous "saved" options are still selected, however the search only shows in list view and only 48 items. This has been going on for the past 3-4 months now. It's extremely irritating!

I believe that those preferences are stored in an eBay cookie in your browser. If you had set your browser to delete cookies after closing, that might be one reason you would have to change your settings each time you restarted your browser. If that is not the case, perhaps you have a corrupt eBay cookie; try deleting eBay-related cookies and then see if the settings stick the next time you set them.

I've tried that, and tried it again yesterday but still having the same issue. All searches go right back to list view and only show 48 items. All my changes in the "custom view" still show whenever I click on it but I still have to go through everyday and "reset" those changes on the first visit of the day. Trouble started sometime in January of this year, before that, never had an issue.

Do you experience the same problem if you use another browser? I suspect the problem is related to your browser -- or the eBay cookies in that particular browser. If you encounter the same issue in a different browser (or on a different computer) that would indicate the problem lies elsewhere.

Nothing displays as I request. I cleared cookies and that did nothing. Why does it have show 48 items to 192 at the bottom and not the top?
What browser are you using and what exactly are you trying to display?
Clearing cookies is useful if your problem is that default settings are not being maintained or are changing from one session to the next; if you are unable to get the settings to do what you want at all that is likely something else.

I get the same problem with chrome and IE, both are the latest versions of each browser.

Are you using a saved search or a bookmark, or are you starting your search by entering keywords into the search field? Your saved searches or bookmarked searches have formatting options embedded in the URL, so if you have saved a search in a particular format, it will show up in that format whenever you run the search.
If you go the main eBay page and enter terms into the search field, when you run the search it should be in whatever format your custom search is set up for.
I had thought that those custom settings were stored in your browser cookies, but it is possible that they are maintained in your eBay account itself.

I don't have any saved searches of any kind. I always type in my keyword descriptions in the search field.
