Bulk Editor melt down ...

Yesterday the Bulk Editor would NOT upload all the selected listings from the Seller Hub Unsold file that were selected. (1st pic)  Today it is do that PLUS asking for items to be selected when they have already been selected. (2nd pic-sorry it might be hard to see because eBay darkens the screen during the selected process)

What glitches does you Bulk Editor have for you today?

So glad you shared. I was considering changing my long, long handling times to shorter long handling times today.

You really should avoid using the bulk editor to relist items. In the past I found it was creating duplicate listings. I noticed at times it would tell me 1 of the selected listings had a problem and could not be sent live till corrected. This was were the error was occurring. In actuality the listing in question was sent live, then after I corrected the error mentioned a second listing was created. For some reason the bulk editor does not check your active listings to make sure you are not making a duplicate listing like the new listing template does. When this happened to me I eventually was not able to fulfill a order as there was no stock and it was like pulling teeth and nails to get the eBay phone reps to recognize this was not something a end user / seller should be able to do. I had to go through all my listings and find examples of actual duplicates to prove it was going on. Then I was able to get a support rep who admitted they have a issue with this and quietly gave me the link bellow for a way to easily check if this has happened.

You really should check for duplicates using this link.

I have also noticed in the past when using the bulk editor to make changes to a large number of listings a lot of the time about half of those changes to do actually get applied. When this was happening I reduced the number of listings and it helped a little but really the better thing to do is set aside some time and o through each listing 1 at a time.

thanks, I am aware of all of these issues that is why I only bulk relist 5 items at a time and if I do get one of the error messages I cancel the bulk relist and redo it.

My guess is that these problems is not so much a glitch in the programing but rather a issue with high traffic causing the servers to not perform all actions. It could also be a ram issue on the servers them self losing data that is changed due to being over loaded. While reducing the number helps and I too noticed that if anything glitchy happens you can cancel and start over. Yet with the change to GTC and items relisting with out any review I prefer to do things individually. At least for the items I made changes to I know the item specifics and shipping options are how I want them to be. Generally I only use the bulk editing tool to turn of GSP if I forget to uncheck that option for multiple listings and it is easy to just wait 5 mins then verify with the seller hub / active listings, that the change went into effect.
