Bulk Edit or any edit when copy and paste important note

i was bulk editing my descriptions and noticed it wasn't saving and figured out why, after each paste if i tapped the space bar or did something else it saved and it would show the "saving notifacation" in background,thought i would share this,no problems as long as i tap the space bar after a paste and wait just a second for the "saving notification"before clicking save.

I am unable to edit certain listings in the description box. If I highlight it to change font, color or delete a line the "box"  freezes and therefore the mouse.  I reported it last week to Ebay - it was inconsistsent then - sometimes I could get the mouse to "click out" by moving it to a different part of the box or space in between lines - now it's worse,  just totally freezes up if I hit enter I lose the whole thing - only work around is to go down and hit save and hope for the best - afterwards when reopening listing still the same problem. Is this what you were having? I cant find any other reports on this - these were listings initiated and relisted on the computer, not back and forth between 2 systems with mobile relists - banging my head against the computer trying to figure this out. No other problems elsewhere in my computer functions with the mouse - only Ebay relists! My new workaround is to retype the entire description below and delete the original above using the backspace button

What browser are you using? Are you using the Grammarly plugin?

I've gotten problems like that and after fiddling with it, I shut the browser down and inevitably there is an update waiting to be installed.......once that's done, everything works fine........  Trying to print a shipping label, had a red notice that I needed to update my return address.........lol.......I've never changed it in 14 years......and it was fine.  Also had the mouse go nuts......

Chrome only - Ebay hadnt heard of the problem but it just started a few days before I typed the post
I dont know what a Grammarly plugin is - my new Dell bought last year - Window's has its own updates that I dont have a lot of control of and see what they are doing - its not happening anywhere else when I type be it word, excel or other withing Windows - only on Ebay - I looked into mouse issues based on a video guide on utube - problem is my mouse is on the keyboard not separate and I dont want to screw up my computer - all the settings looked correct and up to date. already had serious Outlook issues from the get go - 2 x corrupted so I dont want to muck around much with my computer .

thank you both - its somewhat inconsistent but now its happening with current listings when I try to revise them - it definitely has to do with the highlight function and the box freezes, I can perform other editing functions as long as I dont do that
so its not uniquie to older listings or relists - I definitely think its Ebay

ps to both of you - I recreated the problem in Windows/ word in my computer
no problem whatsoever with the font, color, or highlighting - only Ebay - I am under seige !

Grammarly plugin is a grammar spellchecker browser plugin many using Chrome seem to use that has definitely caused similar problems here on ebay recently. When users disabled the plugin the typing problems went away. It's something you would have downloaded and installed though, so it probably isn't it.

That type of thing doesn't ever happen to me. I use old Firefox 31 mostly and it works fine (mostly - except for some of the new things eBay has roll out that result in dead buttons or blank pages and for which I have to fire up Firefox 52*)

*I still run WinXP and Firefox 52 is the last version that works with XP. I will NEVER run Win 10 - between the forced updates, total lack of quality control, corporate arrogance when it comes to features, and the invasive spying/telemetry/phoning home built into WIn 10 it is never going to happen.

You need to try another browser. I'm betting this is a Chrome/eBay issue.

You could try regular Firefox, or you could install a portable version that doesn't install itself like regular browsers do (portable can run of a flashdrive if you want - totally standalone)

Older and newer (like currently up to FF64) Firefox portable versions are avail at the Sourceforge link or the Portable Apps site. Often takes a week or 2 for latest releases to get portableificated.
