Blocked listings

As of 7/18 over 1000 of my active listings are being blocked from the view of potential buyers.  Help!

Re: Blocked listings

@bessienessie

I see 65 items you currently have listed.

Can you provide an item number of one the items that is not appearing in search?

Re: Blocked listings

I used one of @shipscript's ISDNTEK tools (active content) to scan your listings, and confirmed that you do have over 1000 active listings, but less than 7% of them are showing on eBay. It didn't find any violations, but it did confirm your number of listings.

@bessienessie, Can you check how many of your listings are active, but out of stock, please? This would be where the quantity = zero. Those listings don't show up in search. Also, it would be helpful to please provide some item numbers for missing listings (I don't have the pages still open).

I scanned some of the ones that are not showing up, and couldn't find any obvious issues. Shipscript, can you see anything, or do you know of anything that could cause this?

Any way you could tell me how the isdntek works?

www.isdntek.com is a website owned by @shipscript, who is one of the longest-active responders on these boards.

Ship provides a number of useful tools for eBay sellers. One of them is an active-content tool that will scan all of a seller's listings, looking for active content (which can prevent the description from being displayed). I used that tool to scan OP's listings, and while it didn't find any active-content issues, it did confirm that OP has more than 1000 active listings.

Re: Blocked listings

Thank you, so how does it come up with how many items are actually shown on eBay as opposed to how many active listings there are?

Re: Blocked listings

It doesn't. I didn't get that from the isdntek tools. You can see how many items are shown on eBay by clicking to see the OP's listings. IIRC, only around 65 listings are showing up.

Re: Blocked listings

This is one of many...166657071123     As of this morning , I have 1074 active, in stock listings, but you can only see 40-74, it changes when you refresh the page.  Been 4 days now and my sales have crashed.  Unsettling stuff.  Thanks for your time.

Re: Blocked listings

Thanks.  I am slowly relisting everything, so the count is going up.  Re-listing seems to make them viewable again, but there is an existing glitch, because numbers change when I refresh the page.  Still no tech help.

Re: Blocked listings

@bessienessie, thanks for updating us. I can see 582 listings for you, at the moment.

Sorry, I wasn't able to give you any suggestions, but I genuinely did not know what to suggest. As far as I know, no one has figured out what causes this, and your suggestion to relist them is the first suggestion I have seen that makes a difference.

Re: Blocked listings

Sure.  Hope this can help another seller out of a panic; however, I fear it's a bandaid fix.  May I ask how often you have heard of a glitch like this, and how long ago was the first time hearing it?  Thanks again.
