Trying to purchase a limited sale of American Silver Eagle coins but was met with a nasty error message and was unable to purchase.
I called customer service to ask what in the world was going on, and the representative stated that I need to "prove" I live where I do. I've been a long standing eBay member, 100% positive feedback, with zero violations whatsoever so this came as a total shock. I was told that eBay was suspicious that I am a legitimate buyer. Again, many years of buying and selling without an issue.
Anyways, I was finally told I'd receive an email to which I need to send supporting documentation to, further "proving" who I am. This was for a small purchase of a silver coin...
I'll probably miss the sale now, and did not at all receive a satisfactory experience with customer support. I'm beyond disappointed and outright aggravated with the situation... I have not received any email and surely nobody will follow up on the issue. Blocked for no reason whatsoever!
