Barcode scanner won't focus properly

The ebay barcode scanner will not focus properly. There was an update at some point where the default is now camera mode and you have to switch it to scan barcodes. The scanner will not focus properly. This used to be working fine as I have another phone with an earlier version of the app and it is working fine. I may just downgrade to an earlier version of the app if this is not fixed soon.

I cannot believe this is not being discussed. I have a Google pixel 7 phone and had the same issue. The scanner is hard to focus in on the UPC code and when it finally does focus in, it reads the upc incorrect most of the time. I went and downloaded an old version from the beginning of June and reverted back to the old version. The scanner on the newest version is useless for my phone.
