App and website not working on Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite

The app loads and then quickly closes. I get the message "something went wrong with ebay.  ebay closed because the app has a bug."

The version is 6.176.0.1.

I have cleared cache, un-installed and reinstalled but still have the problem.  Using my tablet browser for ebay has the same issue.

If possible, try loading version 6.168.0.1 via an APK mirror site you trust.

Or else use a browser to go to ebay.com instead.

Thank you for your reply. That sounds like a great suggestion but  I am not tech savvy. I have no idea what an APK mirror site is, let alone a trustworthy one!  Strangely, ebay.com on my tablet browser gives me the same issue.  I need to end my listings before I have ticked off buyers because I'm not being responsive.

Is no one else having this issue? Is this a new version that was just released?

What operating system are you using on your tablet? The app may be set to automatically open eBay browser links. You should be able to undo that, but how that is done depends on your operating system.

I have been having the same issue for the last few days. It says I am running version 6.176.0.1 as well, updated on 9/11/24. Have never run into this issue in the decade or so of using the app. I have pending offers I cannot get to as I am at work right now so hopefully my buyers haven't found other options before I can get home to my PC. A bit irritating.

Use a mobile browser to reach ebay.com instead of using the eBay app.

There is a setting which controls whether eBay browser links open in the app or not.

If you are using an Android device, go to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by Default: Open Supported Links and choose "Do not open in the app". Then eBay browser links will open in the browser rather than the eBay app.

Thanks for your helpful replies. App is working now. I am shocked ebay fixed this so quickly. I changed the default app settings for next time.
