Anyone else having issues with messages today? Not opening at all - Any alternative pls???

I have seen this from time to time. It is usually back and running after a fashion.

As for me, in addition to messages coming into my eBay messages they also come into my personal email address. That means I can at least see what has come in so I know if there are any problems. Can't answer, but at least my mind is at ease rather than wondering what is waiting for me.

On my android tablet i get a 500 series error saying the server is down, its them, not me

Go to my windows laptop and I can get into the messages

They screwed something up this afternoon sometime

Same here. Ebay message server is down. Been down since last night.

I was able to still access them by instead logging into ebay's Canada site (ebay.ca).

Using a desktop browser, the ebay.com Messages page is currently not reachable.

The message inbox can be reached, and messages can be read using a mobile browser in mobile or classic mode, or by using the eBay app.

If you have eBay messages forwarded to an email inbox, you can read or reply via email.

You can also read and reply to your Messages on ebay.ca instead of ebay.com.

New message sistem is totally buged. I even can't switch to "classic view". Error I see constantly from every web browser is this: "Looks like something went wrong. Please try again later." I can''t see message content when select certain message thread. Only red error with empty messages.

The problem you are experiencing is likely different than the the general outage described in this month-old thread, though some of the same workarounds may also work for you.

Try using the eBay app to respond to messages. Or try responding via email if you have eBay messages sent to an email account. Or try responding via ebay.ca or ebay.co.uk instead of ebay.com.

It is possible that your issue is related to your location.

I am having problems messaging sellers from their auction page to ask questions regarding their item. If I have received a message from them, I can respond to their message. I can respond to old messages, but I cannot create a new conversation. I am totally blind in one eye, and have 30% of my vision in my other eye. It seems to me that eBay should have assistance for those that are incapacitated - but no, they are only interesting profits. There is no helping those who cannot help themselves. I cannot even make their tiny font larger so I can read it. They do not even want to talk to me when I dial their 866 telephone number. They obviously do not want to help people with disabilities participate in the real world...

Most desktop browsers will allow you to enlarge the font on a site by holding down the Control key and then using the plus, minus, or zero key to zoom in, out, or reset the zoom level.

If you are having problems sending a message to a seller from the seller's item page, there are some things you can try that may help.

Try sending the message using a different browser to rule out a browser problem, or a conflict with a browser add-on.

Try composing a new message by first going to the seller's feedback or profile page and using the "Contact" link there.

Try sending a message from ebay.ca instead of ebay.com -- in some situations that may work better.
