Searching for "malware removal" should turn up a few suggestions for tools that you can download and run. I have used malwarebytes in the past to clean up friends' desktop computers and had good results.

I’m getting them too, starting yesterday evening. I’m using an iPad so there’s no virus scanner options. I took the iPad to the Apple Store and they said it’s not a malware issue on the iPad, but more likely an issue with eBay servers.
Does anyone know how to stop the redirects which seem only to happen when connecting to eBay?

I'm not an Apple user, but here's what I get when I search for spreediscount on the Apple discussion boards:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8522661
"Try double clicking the Home button and swipe Safari upwards. Go to Settings/Safari and clear History and Website Data."
Hope this helps.

Thanks, but that’s what the Apple Store staff tried. Unfortunately it made no difference. The somewhat random occurrence of the problem leads me to think a subset of eBay servers have been compromised but not all.

Adding more information in case it helps.
We have:
1. two Windows 10 PCs, neither is affected.
2. two iPhones, neither is affected.
3. two iPads, both are affected.
At home all devices use the same wireless network and ISP.
I wondered if my Linksys network contained malware, so tried using three additional networks: Starbucks, Apple Store, iPhone hot spot. The problem occurs on all three when using the iPads.
I also reset the Lynksys modem/router.
But again, it happens about 80% of the time which is inconsistent with local modem/router/device malware. The behavior leads me to think it’s an eBay server issue.
If others can chime-in regarding their location and ISP it might help.
I’m near Seattle, so in general, west coast.
I also use Comcast/Xfinity ISP.

That is kind of funny as most sellers selling items using stock photos are drop shippers listing amazon prime items on ebay for more than what it cost on amazon. If ebay is selling pop up adds to Amazon it is kind of a **bleep** stupid idea as it will just cause them to lose revenue from sells. almost as stupid as their, "did you check ebay" commercials trying to bring new users to ebay for purchases of brand new items. Then the box they receive is a Amazon prime box or some other major online retailer. The fallow up catch phrase the buyers come to use is Ya I checked ebay and after several purchases that got cancelled due to stock issue I finally got a few items. However when the items came in a Amazon Prime box I decided to stop paying some guy sitting on his couch 15 percent markup to place a order for me and just went directly to Amazon. While new revenue sources are good taking money from giant corporations to disrupt services or annoy users to get them to use different devices and platforms along with annoying out dated pop up adds that users just despise is not really a sustainable business plan. You lose users and sales drop it is not like 10 years ago when Ebay was the only online retailer of its kind. Constantly new companies are coming out dividing the total market shares constantly. If they keep making bad choices and not listening to customers both users and sellers before it is too late they will become irrelevant like Yahoo and not matter how much they try to back track and return to the way they were users will be gone and never to return. 2 to 5 years as they have been going in the last year and bankruptcy will be around the corner if not a complete failure of their stock.

It is not malware.
It is eBay and amazon!
ebay is allowing this to happen
for the life of me I can’t think why.
I kill every tab it comes up on.

Quick buy a apple device to avoid these annoying issues and be better ready for the failed apple pay. Plus give apple a much needed sale as most users are switching over to android devices because they are feed up with **bleep** like this.

From your iPad, go to the iTunes store. download and install AdGuard. Done.
AdGuard is a pop up blocker with much better reviews than AdBlock plus.

Totally unnecessary.
ebay is the one letting amazon in.
reset my tabs and refreshed
no problem.
but 8 “winners” in a row was a new one on me.
ebay is going to bankrupt itself trying to be amazon
