Active listings are not showing up in search or even within "Items for sale" under my user name. Searching the boards, this seems to be a recurring problem. It needs to be fixed so that I can post items that others can actually see. Kinda the whole point of ebay, right?

I see 4 listings and did a search for Nepenthes mirabilis and your item shows up.

Looks like the problem sorted itself out. Everything is working as it should now.

Just posted new items and again nothing I listed is showing up. Previously it was suggested this was b/c of Thurs night maintenance but these were posted on Sunday night/Monday morning. What's the problem? Is this going to happen every single time I try to post items?

I see 10 listings.

I also see 10 now, and 6 of the 10 have the "New Listing" flag on them.
Definitely looks like it's due to search indexing lag.
Unknown when they appeared (sometime between 3am when I looked and 11pm when you posted).
Whatever the case, as much as it is annoying for OP, it's stated possible search indexing behavior (right on the listing form).
Curious as to why OP gets lagged and I and most others do not. Categories? Account based? Virtual dice being rolled inside the indexing algorithms?

He's selling plants........and they may have to go thru a list of banned ones that can't be sold..........could account for the lag...... Like Military items....... I had a R E Lee picure that took 24 hrs to show up...

yes, brand name stuff, anything military or gun/knife, perhaps some electronics........tho I've never seen that named. Supposedly, those have a longer review.....I always thought that means the stuff goes thru further automatic checks (bot), I doubt human, but perhaps on some.

Thanks to everyone weighing in on the issue. It is extremely odd that everything I list with this account is subject to really long indexing lag, if that is what it is. I have sold in the past under a different username (also selling plants) and everything posted immediately.
If it has to do with the items for sale (plants), it is frustrating b/c I actually have a nursery license from my state (99% of the people selling plants on ebay do not, which if you are actually following the laws, to the best of my knowledge, interstate sales are not allowed without a permit/license). I also have a tax permit and collect state sales tax (again something many sellers (of plants at least) don't do).
I don't know what ebay would possibly be reviewing with plants. I am pretty sure that they are not going through the list of prohibited plants for each state and making sure that a seller isn't shipping say a ground ivy plant/seeds to CT (my state, which prohibits ground ivy). They don't even verify whether a seller can sell any type of plant outside their own state so I doubt that they would look into details like individual species banned by individual states.
I am going to post some more items in the next day/few days and see if it happens again. Hopefully it isn't something that keeps happening.

Well, I hasten to say.......I'm certainly speculating as to the lag time reason.......
But here's Ebay's plant policy, so I'm guessing there are some restrictions..........
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/plants-seeds-policy?id=4287#section2
I did do a search on water hyacinth and it is for sale........with no "can't be sold to....." caveat in the description.........so how/if the policy is enforced......who knows?
