Accepted offer and sold disappearing buyer cannot see or pay

So I accepted offers and than the order disappears. If I go to messages the order showing pending but is still “ buyable” on my site and buyer does not see I accepted!  They also cannot pay. I spent a while in chat with help and they say it’s a BUG and will take 24 hours to fix!  What not ok. This is my livelihood. I aske that they contact buyers and tell them of the lag and error so the offers don’t delete as they are now. 

I asked all fees be removed they said after it is all fixed they will see what can be done. That they could not help it - “technology is out of our control” THEY are a tech company.

Advise the buyer to check their eBay messages for a confirmation that the offer was accepted. They should be able to pay through that link.

eBay has been ramping this up with accepted offers - they remain in pending status while the item is available for anybody else to purchase until the buyer pays. It's one of several things eBay is testing to cut down on non-payers and the inconvenience to sellers when buyers lose interest after an item ends, and seller has to start from scratch when they relist.

If the buyer does not pay within a certain amount of time it will time out and be removed from the pending section. If the buyer pays then it will become an official transaction on your orders page. In the meantime, any buyer can purchase at full price or make an offer.

eBay ended up telling me that indeed it was a bug on their end with offers and accepting offers. They said it was technical. Thank you so much for this help though. It is very thorough

I encountered the same situation.

At that time, I checked eBay.com and eBay Japan.

eBay Japan told “ it is abnormal, we told eBay technical.”

When eBay.com  was no response, and before I contacted the buyer, the buyer paid and the item was shown as "awaiting shipment".

As an aside, even though I entered a tracking number after shipping, the item is not moving to “Paid and shipped”.
