5 Months of Technical Issues – No Resolution, No Answers (SR# 1-490368883895)

Hello eBay Team,

I'm posting here because I’ve exhausted all other support channels, and my issue remains unresolved after five full months. This is my attempt to finally reach someone who can actually look into this and help.

The Technical Issues:

  • My listing does not appear in eBay search results, while being #1 on Google for the same keyword (“801189”).

  • It’s not visible under my “Seller’s other items.”

  • The Vehicle Compatibility List is broken.

  • The “In 3 baskets” label is missing.

All of these bugs significantly hurt my listing visibility and sales.

What I’ve Done:

  • Contacted eBay support more than 10 times since November 2024.

  • Heard from Manav, Mousumi, Rakesh, Shreya, Priyanka (x2), Gaurav, Priya, Rahul, Raj, and Lucky.

  • Got the same copy-paste replies: “Listing restored”, “Issue escalated”, “It’s only cosmetic”, “Wait 3–4 days / 90 days / 72 business hours.”

  • Even emailed press@ebay.com and the CEO’s office.

Still nothing is fixed.

Why I’m posting here:

I feel completely stuck and unheard as a seller.
I’ve tried everything — politely, repeatedly — and I’m met with silence or generic replies. I’m not looking for apologies anymore. I need action.

This is not a rare or one-time issue — it's been ongoing since November, and I can clearly see the impact on my business.

Case number: SR# 1-490368883895
Happy to provide screenshots, full email thread, and any proof if needed.

Please, if any staff member sees this — escalate it to someone who can resolve it.
Thank you.
Anton

Sorry, but there is no "eBay team" here. This is a discussion board for buyers and sellers.
So no one from eBay will be reading or responding to your post.
Whenever I had a situation where my listings weren't shown in search , my store or in sellers other items. I located those listings in the seller hub. Ended them and relisted.....that fixed that problem without assistance from eBay.

The vehicle compatibility issue stems from sellers incorrectly listing their items.

If you're not seeing items in "baskets" that suggests to me the buyers no longer have the items in their cart and are not interested . ....nothing eBay can do about that.

@wastingtime101

Thanks for the direct link. Looking at the listing, it should appear for me in search if I search worldwide, but on ebay.com or ebay.co.uk I can only see two of the seller's items, neither of which is that particular listing.

But there are many reports of search issues today, so I am not sure if that is playing a role here as well.

One thing that stood out to me is other sellers' listings for the same product said "For" in the title. I wondered if there may be an issue with that listing not appearing because they neglected to say "For" in front of the brand name.

Except we can see the listing is actively selling based on the purchase history which means it's appearing in search for a lot of buyers @eburtonlab .

Fifty five watchers and 124 sold, so someone is finding that listing, just not me, apparently.

There's no guarantee an item will ever show up in an Ebay search.

I see two listings, how many should there be.

The in basket label, don't see how that can be a problem?

Have a great day.

Thank you for your input — I truly appreciate that you took the time to respond.

  1. I posted here hoping that some moderators monitor this board and might be able to flag the issue internally. I’m fully aware this is not official eBay support — but after 5 months of going in circles with Customer Service, I’m turning to every possible channel.

  2. I cannot simply end and relist the item, because doing so would erase the sales history (over 120 units sold), which is crucial to staying competitive. Several other sellers have already copied my product, and if I lose that record, I lose the credibility and visibility that come with being the original and top-selling listing.

  3. All of the issues I mentioned did not exist before eBay mistakenly blocked my listing. Support later confirmed the restriction was an error and lifted it — but since then, the listing has been in a half-broken state, with multiple missing features. This is not due to incorrect setup; it’s the result of a backend glitch caused by that original mistake.

  4. As for the “in X baskets” label — I’m confident it’s not showing due to a bug, because my product continues to sell more frequently than competitors’, who do have the label. It’s another sign that something on the backend is broken for this listing.

Again, thank you for engaging — I know this is a user-to-user forum, but if there’s any way to get moderator eyes on this, I’d be grateful.

Hi, and thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, this isn't related to temporary or regional glitches — I've been dealing with this for over five months now. Multiple eBay support agents have acknowledged the issue and confirmed that the original listing restriction was applied by mistake.

They also repeatedly promised that the case would be escalated to the competent technical team as a priority… I've read those exact words countless times over the months — but there’s been zero real progress.

So while I understand there may be short-term search issues today, what I’m facing is a long-standing, unresolved system bug specific to my listing.

Thanks again for taking the time to look into it.

I’ve definitely experimented with different title formats (including using “For” before the brand), but in this case, the listing was working perfectly for a long time until it was mistakenly restricted by eBay. After they removed the restriction, the visibility issues started — so this doesn’t seem to be related to the title structure.

As for the sales — they still happen, but mostly because buyers are searching the error code on Google, and my listing shows up there. However, if someone hears about my product from a friend — like “hey, there’s a guy on eBay who sells a fix for this” — and they go directly to eBay to search, they won’t find me. So I’m losing those direct eBay search customers, even though the listing is technically active.
