Hi, my friend is a huge mechanic Subaru car since over 35 years but... now, he has a crazy bug with a 2005 Subaru station wagon, 2,5 engine with a manual transmission! The alternator charge TOO MUCH so he did use another good one BUT... SAME BUG!!! Do you think that the problem is somewhere in all the electric wire system OR it MIGHT be the engine COMPUTER broken... or need a kind of RESET??? Thank you for your answer!

This is eBay not a car repair shop. Tell your friend to speak with a mechanic at a Subaru dealership.

The likely causes are a faulty voltage regulator (often built into the alternator), wiring or ground issues, or ECU-related control problems. Subaru models from this era use computer-controlled alternators, so a bad battery sense wire, corroded connections, or ECU miscommunication can cause repeated overcharging.

You can't post your email address here and also this forum is for questions related to eBay technical issues. Your question will probably be removed/locked for irrelevance.
