28 Guides in 28 Days Contest

Were you all aware that eBay is running a contest, 28 Guides in 28 Days? eBay is selecting one Guide a day to receive a $100 eBay Gift Certificate! http://popular.ebay.com/odcs/custom.htm?template=GuideContest How about sharing your own personal area of expertise? Even if you don't win a gift certificate, everyone here at eBay will benefit from the information you share! Besides my interest in postcards, I also collect trivets. I wrote my first Guide on February 13th ... here it is: http://reviews.ebay.com/A-Guide-to-Buying-Trivets_W0QQugidZ10000000000738494 Lynn :x

Hi Lynn Yes guilty as charged of selling you the rhine river postcard - I seem to remember having it is the "help can anyone identify this" thread last year. I still think it is a fab card. Looks good at the top of the guide too. Glad to see it's earning it's keep! Sara

28 Guides in 28 Days Contest

I wrote a guide on Mainzer Dressed Cats postcards. I'm not an expert on Mainzer cards, so I would appreciate any criticism or corrections you have to offer. http://reviews.ebay.com/Mainzer-and-Kuenzli-Dressed-Cat-and-Animal-Postcards_W0QQugidZ10000000000972... I collect mainly postcards from the Grand Lake area, where I live. I have a decent collection of Las Vegas Casino cards, and I have a fairly nice collection of postcards with metal embellishments. The Mainzer cats are part of my cat-loving 13 year old daughter's postcard collection.

28 Guides in 28 Days Contest

Whoopse! I really owe you guys an appology. I hadn't realized art postcards could be worth so much. ALL the ones I had seen firsthand were really inferior reproductions. After that and doing some research on e-Bay's highest selling cards(which at the time weren't art cards) I wrongly assumed that art cards weren't valuable. I do appologize for my gross mistake and sincerely hope I haven't slighted anyone or they have felt I have hurt their sales(luckily only 18 people have read it). I will change my guide as soon as possible and take it down till it is changed. I wrote it in sort of a hurry as something mainly to win the 100$ contest and hopefully later draw traffic to my auctions, but I should have done more research on the areas I was unsure of like art cards. If only I had known about this group back then. If there are any other areas that anyone sees as incorrect or think could use a little help, please inform me. And thank you Lynn for your recommending my guide and your kind comments on it. And congratulations to the writer of the ''boyscout postcard guide''. Sincerely, CM
