Well, that's no good. Was your refund generated through a Return request?

no, the seller sent me a return and then ebay sent me an email stating that the fund were  deposited  into my . credit card account . however this never happened.

Are you sure the email was from eBay? Was it in your messages?

Refunds go back to the source. Sometimes it takes a whole billing period to show up on a credit card. 

Was your credit card a pre paid card or one in your name?

If you don't  get it dispute the charge with the credit card co.
