"managed payments" not working. still havent received money.

"managed payments" seems like a way to cut ties to paypal at the expense of the seller.

buyer paid on friday. 

ebay said we will not give you the money for 3 days due to processing.

3 days later still no money.

ebay says  go ahead and send your product even though you have not gotten paid.

SURE why not?!?

im in the charity business now.

anyone need 10oz bricks of silver?

ebay says just send them out without being paid!

ill stop buying/selling on ebay until they fix this mess.

on to amazon and banggood and aliexpress

With Managed Payments it can take 5-7 days before money is deposited into your checking account.

It would help if sellers read up on what they were signing up for and how the system works.

If the buyer paid Friday, the funds will be processed by Monday or Tuesday.

Once they are processed, they send the funds to your checking account on the schedule you chose.

Depending on your bank, the funds could be in your account the next day or it could take a couple days.

I chose weekly payouts, funds are sent on Tuesdays and my funds are in my account that night or Wednesday morning.

Fri/Sat/Sun buyer payments are generally processed by Monday with a "payout" on Tuesday.

I ship within my handling time once eBay "confirms" the buyer payment.

In 20 months of MP I have shipped hundreds of item once payment is "confirmed", and have yet to have a payment fail to reach my checking account.

If you want the instant payments you may need to switch to yard sales.

Clicking on "payments" will show the status of each payment.

It is really disappointing. Payments do not take 4/5 days and it isn't anything to do with who you bank with.

This is simply e-bay having such dire transactional systems that they can't manage your payments in the way that a professional payments company can....say like PayPal for instance....

It's a joke.

Do you have your payments set to be daily or weekly?  Check the payout schedule in the payments tab of the overview.

Payments take three business days, unless your bank is slow to process.

i read what ebay sent me.

1 to 3 days.

that is not the case tho.

i have just recently been selling for about 2 months.

i have been paid immediately.

now with managed payments it takes 7 days.

since youre a seller who is read up on ebay policies maybe you can tell me what the benefit is.

why wait 7 days?

how does the seller benefit from this.
i have looked and i cannot locate a benefit from this 1 week delay in payment.

i think if ebay had specified 1 week delay in payment then i would have had to accept that.

but ebay did not state that.

they said 1 to 3 days and the money would be in my account.

they did not say that they take weekends off.

they did not say how 1 to 3 days was a benefit.

what is the benefit of managed payments besides the delay of 1 week for payments, which is not a benefit i might add.

i was getting instant payments before "managed payments"

yes i agree that i should switch to yard sales

and i should stop shopping and selling on ebay.

there is also Amazon, banggood, AliExpress and a large number of other places to buy and sell.

i never considered using anything else but now i will.

i have been a member for 20 years and ebay has made awful decisions before but this one is just the worst.

even  the stuff i am buying is being delayed. 

but yes i will not make ebay my first choice anymore.

ebay needs to get back with paypal and have a working solution before cutting ties.

DON'T SEND ANYTHING until YOU GET THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And that means CLEARED IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!  Its a no brainer!!

And here's something else to consider, if it hits your financial institution on a Friday, they dont process on weekends either, 10 DAYS - and ebay says SHIP IT OUT, so our business stays good.  PLEASE!!!!
