why do ppl come here to announce this 🤔

I'd imagine it's because any particular OP might be frustrated and they want to let it be known, and it is an eBay community posting board: it's not required reading...

Your question seems a bit silly to me, due to what would appear to be obvious. But I do wonder why you thought it was necessary to even respond with such a silly question, or perhaps you're just trying to manifest some type of opposition talking points for some cheap applause.

I don't know; to each their own.

Re: paypal

*Side-note* Paypal is still an option for buyers. So, none of them have left in protest...

Re: paypal

yea, no buyers will leave in protest because it doesn't matter, just the sellers who can't keep up so that means more buyers for fewer sellers - yay, because i started selling on another id.

Re: paypal

@goose2003 the information ebay asks you for is the same info (more or less) that PayPal asked for.

I will tell you that as of now, this is permanent, but think of it this way.

This helps buyers because ebay allows buyers to pay other ways, so this gives you more potential buyers. Also you get the money directly in your account. (If you sell a lot here and do not want your personal finances with your business finances, there are fee free checking accounts out there. I use one!)

If you are still set on leaving ebay, I will humor you and refer you to this link below:

Quite interesting as you ALSO could have scrolled past the comment- wasn't required reading for you either, works both ways. Instead you took the opportunity to play passive/aggressive and try to bait the person into a back and forth.

Didn't work....

Not really, and there's nothing baiting or aggressive in my response. I was merely noting the baiting aspect of the post I responded to; it doesn't holds any value other than trying to bait/belittle the OP, but it "didn't work,"  for the OP most likely is a step above.

Sometimes it just takes a while for someone to sort things out. And, being understanding in that light would seems to me to be a prudent approach.

Note, it's your prerogative to respond to my opinions. And note: I didn't not respond to your prior post, just this one. So let it be known I will not go "back and forth" with you and your baiting response, even though that would appear to be your inclination.

To each their own.

You are highly equivocated if you think buyers and sellers are not the same people. I have bought over 200 items from ebay in the last couple of years. Why, because I had money on my PP account.

Will I top my PP account just to buy stuff here that I can buy elsewhere? No

Will I even be here in the next couple of months. Unlikely.

They've ruined it. You can keep the whole store for yourself.

Re: paypal

I personally think that the whole 'sellers are also buyers' impact is unproven (and probably exaggerated) - there is no way to draw any kind of hard conclusion from just some people's buying habits or a few anecdotes.

Re: paypal

Disgruntled seller (buyer): "So long ebay! Sorry you're out of business because I'm leaving you!"

Ebay: "Did you hear something?"

Re: paypal

Well, there's even separate tabs for feedback  — in your case you've sold 5000 and bought 2000 (rounded figures I've just pulled from your feedback profile). That's 40%.

I, for instance, have bought more than I have sold.

And we could keep doing this.
