payment methods

I will no longer be selling on ebay , due to ebay not using paypal on the seller's end.

I will not let ebay hold "my money" in a escrow account (while they draw interest) and let them decided when they should give it to me. If ebay wants to play games , I encourage every seller to not ship their items until the funds settle into your bank account. 7 days to receive payments is not acceptable. My payment information will be deleted from ebay after my funds have cleared.

I have been selling on ebay for many years but , no more. What a shame.

Re: payment methods

"The first notice I saw was an Email from Ebay saying give us your bank information or don't get paid. " Funny, most of us got so many notices it got sickening. Maybe you need to check your email preferences.

Re: payment methods

eBay began announcing this potential change somewhere about 2 years ago.

It was in the "Announcements",bottom of eBay page, more than once.

How often do you check your Announcements?

No, it's no instant, the payment has to be processed first.

Re: payment methods

They have no right to hold out money. Some things I sold here June 14th says payment will clear by July 17th!!!! A month!

Re: payment methods

aware some users just can not take changesellers not wanting to change = such a worn out cliché that it doesn't even make sense any more

How can that be stated with an air of moral advantage when we're talking about an obvious change for the worse?

Are they holding your funds because you're a new seller.

New sellers can have their funds held for 21 days, but they usually release them a day or two after tracking shows the item was delivered.

Re: payment methods

All these years on eBay and you never heard of posting IDs? I wouldn’t have thought that was even possible.

ebay does not do that. Believe what you will, but that isn't happening.

How do you explain cases, many reported here, where in fact eBay is delaying fund transfers for reasons like high dollar value or other issues? Yes, not in escrow for most but clearly eBay has ability to delay payments if t meets their needs.
