my paypal payment address was wrong, can't access it to return buyer's money - help

I updated my PayPal account with a new email address because I have long since stopped using the "old" email address associated with PayPal.

I sold two items on eBay not realizing the payment address was not updated in eBay. I couldn't find a way to change it after the sale, so I canceled one sale.

I cannot access the email address the buyer's money was sent to, so I can't authorize the refund.

When I attempted to cancel the 2nd sold item I'm getting an eBay message that I have to "wait a minute to cancel the sale, but I still have 30 days..."

In either case I'm stuck being unable to refund the money and I have no way to access the "old" email address that was listed as the payment address on eBay. Suggestions? It shouldn't be this hard.

Tell your buyer to go to PayPal Help and search for "How to Cancel a Payment". That will give them the steps they need to cancel and get their money back.

Remember on eBay, your Buyer PayPal account email and your seller PP email are not connected automatically. You have to change both manually.
