Re: managed payments

What new ploy! Manage payment has been in beta testing for something like 2 years and started being rolled out system wide this year.

This program is terrible. I’ve sold her for 24 years and will end That soon.

Re: managed payments

Oh I remember when Ebay brought PayPal on board.  OMG PP was going to be the downfall of Ebay for sure according to many posters.  It was a horrible decision by Ebay and of course all kinds of name calling happened then too.

Now here sellers are fighting to keep PP and are saying things like you did above about Ebay.

It is a huge change and it is normal for humans to fight such a big change.  In reality the MP program here is not much different than it is on Amazon, Etsy, Mercari, Poshmark, etc.

If you have some specific concerns.  Ask.  You never know, you might learn something you weren't aware of.

@carsncards3031

There will be a plenty of new sellers that won't mind using MP.

Have a great day.

Re: managed payments

First of all I was able to adjust as soon as I joined MP back in the day, but you people who say plenty of new sellers will joined in there place and wont mind MP is really misleading. I see where people are coming from as for problems with MP, the biggest is not knowing when the money will be deposited. If you think a new seller who doesn't know when the money will be rolling in there checking account and will or will not be able to sustain themselves while they wait will stay? highly unlikely. I believe that there will be more new sellers leaving then staying just because the stress that comes with not knowing.

Yes we see that from newer sellers as well as seasoned seller.  Most of the time that complain comes from the desire to have it function faster NOT from how MP has told us how it will be processed.  Many mix things they wish would work a certain way as a glitch or problem of the program when the program is actually designed to work that way.

If we'd take a step back, actually learn how MP functions then move on from there to encourage MP to make certain changes that would help sellers and make the MP experience so much better, we'd all be better off.

Many just don't like how MP is designed to work.  I understand that and respect it.  There are things I'd like to see improve too.

FYI, new sellers are not being currently required to sign up for MP.

Re: managed payments

ANYBODY WHO THINKS EBAY IS'NT USING OUR MONEY  FOR THE 4 OR 5 DAYS IT TAKES TO AUCTUALLY BE IN OUR BANK ACCOUNTS IS GOOFY IN THE HEAD,  I'D BET MY U KNOW WHAT THAT PAYMENTS FROM BUYERS ARE GOING DIRECTLY INTO AND ACCOUNT THAT ACCRUES INTEREST DAILY, THIS IS BENEFICIAL FOR EBAY  NOT EBAY  SELLERS.  IF THEY ARE NOT USING OUR MONEY WHY DON'T THEY OFFER ELECTRONIC DEPOSIT.

Re: managed payments

EBAY CALLS THE 4 OR 5 DAYS IT TAKES TO GET OUR MONEY IN OUR BANK  ACCOUNTS A PROCESSING PERIOD THERE IS NO SUCH THING, THIS DAY AND AGE PROCESSING INVOLVES ONE CLICK OF A BUTTON EXAMPLE PAY PAL'S INSTANT TRANSFER, OBVIOUS EBAY IS USING OUR MONEY DURING THE PERIOD THEY CALL PROCESSING,  BANKS ARE PROFESSIONALS AT THIS THEY DO IT ALL THE TIME.  TIME IS MONEY

Re: managed payments

the problem i have is while we are waiting for our money to be deposited, ill bet my left n.t that ebay has the money in a account that is guess what   drawing interest   we should have option whether to wait for deposit or instant deposit but ebay won't do that then they can't use the money otherwise why would'nt they offer instant transfer ?  cause you know it can be done pay pal did it, correct ?  NO 2 WAYS ABOUT IT WE ARE BENT OVER AND TAKING IT FROM EBAY  I will wait for your reply
