Re: fees

Because you have specified a reserve on your auctions.

Clue: Reserve Not Met appears on the listings.

Reserves are not free even when listings are.

Re: fees

Better just to start your listings at a price you would be happy to get.

You will have to pay the reserve fee whether your item sells or not.

Re: fees

Never pay the Fee for the Reserve price.

Start the opening Bid for what your Reserve was going to be.

If your Reserve was going to be $9.99, start the Bidding at $9.99.

I mean, if least you're going to take is $9.99, WHY start the Bidding at .99 cents? All you're doing is wasting your Bidders time and Your time. Only one who benefits off a Reserve Price is ebay. They get their money, that Fee, whether your items sells or not.

Re: fees

There are times when a reserve is appropriate. Far fewer now than when in the past, when a typical auction had more bidders and bids.

Auction psychology in the past believed that when you got the bidding going, some bidders would bid past their pre-planned limits. A lower starting bid with a reserve would get more buyers bidding.

Now a days, many auctions show no activity until the last 2 minutes so a reserve does not make money for most items.

Because you used a reserve auction?

If you don't want to pay for it, DON'T USE IT...

Re: fees

When you set a reserve you are charged a fee the moment the item is listed.   If the items sells or doesn't sell, the fee has been charged

Re: fees

This is an easy one.

When you list with a reserve then you pay a fee whether the item sells or not.

Reserves are pointless. Just start the auction at the least you'll take.
