So I have made about $4500 in sales on my eBay account. Every time I go to put my bank account info in for payouts it says it’s a bank account in a completely different state. I had a payout sent for about $3200 and it was sent to the account in a different state. So I call eBay and he tells me the payout was declined and that they have my money on hold until I verify my bank account. Why won’t eBay verify my account? Every time I put my account numbers in it automatically loads as an account at my bank in a different state. I’m worried I won’t be able to receive my payouts

Stop messing around: go open a account for eBay Manged Payments only:
All information should be exactly as it is on eBay. Dots, case, and even middle initial or not.....
Exactly as it is on ebay.
Enter that one.
This does provide a bit of security from your regular funds ect....

You’re recommending to open a new checking account for my eBay payouts ?

That is the way I understood their comment. Its good advice too, to maintain a separate account for your online stuff like eBay. That way your primary account is shielded & protected from being tapped electronically by eBay or others.

Open a new free checking account just for ebay. This way, they can't reach in like Paypal & screw with all your funds in the event of a dispute or other issue.

So have you done what they asked of you or are you just dragging your feet because you don't agree with them? If you are dragging your feet because you disagree with them, all you are doing is prolonging the issue.
It doesn't matter if the bank is in a different state than you, as long as the routing and account number is correct.
Ebay sent the payout to the information you registered on your account. The payout was rejected. What that should tell you is that you made a typo when you registered your routing number and/or your bank account number.
How is Ebay suppose to verify your account if the payout was rejected, clearly the information you registered with MP is incorrect. You are correct, until you get this issue resolved, you will not get your money.
Having a separate checking account just for your online sales is a good idea if you are going to be actively selling and have lots of transactions throughout the year. If you are just going to do a handful of transactions a year, it then is not nearly as important.

That is a bit of an overstatement. Ebay can't just reach into your attached checking account because they decided they wanted to screw with you. There has to be a reason like what you stated a dispute, or a negative balance in your MP account.
With that said, Ebay doesn't just reach in and pull money with no notification to the seller. That simply is incorrect. Ebay will email a seller letting them know that their MP account is in a negative balance and they will give a date a few days away when they will pull the money from your Checking account or back up funding source unless the negative balance clears up.
So if you don't want this stuff to come from your checking account, all you have to do is enter a back up funding source. I use a Visa card.
If you get some sales and your Pending funds meet or exceed the negative balance in your MP account, they will NOT pull any money from your checking account or your back up funding source.
Just a question. Why don't you have a store? You could save on your fees if you did.

Never heard of anyone making the statement of Paypal about funds besides you. What happened?

My bank is based in a different state. But since I provided the correct routing and account number, I don’t have any problems.

Because eBay is a scam. They won't verify my account either even though I use it for many different transfers with no issue. eBay is happy to take their cut but are holding my funds. They should not allow you to sell something without a verified account in place. I wonder how many people just give up and eBay keeps the funds?

I can see you are upset, but that doesn't mean Ebay is a "scam". While you may not like it, they are just following the rules.
It is likely your funds are held because you are a returning seller with more than 90 days away from selling. This is a rule that has been in place for a long time. Below are some links that will help you to better understand the process.
https://export.ebay.com/en/fees-and-payments/payments/payment-holds/
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816&&...
I understand you may not like the rule, but nonetheless it is the rule.
While you are waiting to meet the requirements of the above rule, make sure your account has been properly set up so you don't have any issues when it comes time for Ebay to release your funds.
Please review the below link carefully. It contains very important information as to how Ebay needs to see the information you provide them on your account. It is likely easier to change your Ebay account to match your bank account if you find there to be a difference.

I hope everything works out for you.

I am so done with this crap, ebay you lost us by being greedy and losing paypal, you are disgusting!

I have been in touch with eBay. Their suggestion was to open a new account with a different bank. They allowed me to sell and item and now won’t send me my funds despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issue with them. They now have my money and will not give it to me. That is a scam. It’s also a known issue based on my conversations Customer Service. That sounds like a scam to me.

Are you aware that PayPal has raised their fees quite a bit and it cost you more now to use them. I know it was an easy program to use and we were all use to it. So the change is very hard for many of us. I completely respect that.
It seems you are in the same position as the previous seller that posted, so the links I provided would help you to better understand as well. This hold on your funds has nothing to do with who the money processor is. Meaning that even if we still had PayPal as an option, Ebay would have PayPal hold your funds to abide by their rules.
Being a new or returning seller is difficult at best in regards to access to your money. I too would find that frustrating, but once you are past the requirements for that hold Managed Payments is pretty darn easy to use. With more enhancements to the program due out later this summer.
With the current increases in the PayPal fees, you really will be saving on fees if you were to compare them with the Ebay fees.
If you have an interest to learn more about MP I'd be happy to help give you some information to review. Once you get past the learning curve of the change you will likely be just fine. But again I respect it is an enormous change and those are always difficult to accept much less deal with.

Thanks but I don't need to understand anything, as soon as my payout goes through, I am closing my account after many years. Ebay is a dying service, and one I wont go down with, so goodbye you horrid service!
