Hello, I had a new set left and right rear view door mirrors with switches and wiring for a 308GTSi Ferrari listed for sale back a year age they didn't sale so i removed the listing. then on 8/ 28/ 2020 i get a message from a guy asking if i still had them and if i did would i relist them , I did have them so i sent him a message tell him yes , so next day 8/29/2020 at 12:49pm i listed the mirrors for $2529.00 then at 12:57pm i sent the buyer a message with this link (https://www.ebay.com/itm/174413852118) to the new listing, at 1:oopm he buys them done deal. i box them up and ship them 1 hour later. Then on 9/3/2020 the money gets to my account i find out ebay sold them for $529.00 , Now 3 months later and after calling eBay 16 times they are still giving me the runaround. even though when you click on the link i sent the buyer it still today shows the price of $2529.00. this is ebay's mistake not mine why are they doing this. 3 months..

I'm sorry to read this, clearly an issue. Can you please give us more details on what eBay is saying to you about this? Your experience can possibly help out other sellers to avoid this happening to them....

Yes.

First time i called eBay seemed like they were going to help the lady that was helping said she could see everything and it was there mitake , i was told they would look in to it and get back to me a few weeks go by and i don't hear anything so i call back next one to help was not so nice i was told i must of done something wrong and she past me on to some else, and each time i had to start from the beginning telling the story 2 or 3 times per phone call. then i get a email that said they found the problem eBay said the buyer had made and offer and that i accepted it , i was shock and ask to see copies of the messages for this offer, eBay never emailed them to me. and remember this complete transaction from me listing item to it being purchased took 11 minutes and NO offer was ever made. so then i emailed eBay with copies of everything with a timestamp clearly showing a timeline but did not here back from them so i emailed it 2 more times over that week. then i started calling every chance i got day after day telling same story and eBay promising to look in to it and still no one could tell me anything, so last Friday 11/6/20 i called and was not going to let them off the phone until i was told something, anything after talking to 3 people from eBay i was told they would call me Sunday 11/8/20 at 12:00 noon they needed to do some research i said ok, sunday i waited near my computer from 11:00am until 5:00pm no one called. so i called back Tuesday 11/10/20 talked to 2 people and was told they would call me the next day 11/11/20 after researching everything around 4:00 pm, i waited from 1:00 pm until 5:00pm that day no call back. so basically eBay has told be nothing but lies so far. I know no more now that i did 3 months ago. If eBay wasnt my only income do to coronavirus i would close my ebay store and sell on amazon. When Buyer wants a $2000.00 refund for a item i sell on eBay they take the money from my account without even asking. now i have spent 3 months trying to get them to fix their mistake and they won't.

Yes and this was the very first transition using the new system.

Something is not adding up. The link you provided says this listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available. TRUE, it shows a price of $2,529 in the listing but it was ended without being sold. Before the listing was ended you made a price revision on the 29th and again on the 31st of August. If that listing sold it would say in the listing sold for xxxxxx.
I would like to see the item in your sold history that shows sold for $2,529.
ASIDE FROM THAT, there used to be, in your Selling Preferences >Payments From Buyers, a feature you could enable that said "Allow buyers to edit payment totals."
SO THAT MIGHT BE WHAT HAPPENED.
BEFORE you shipped you should have verified the payment amount. For something that expensive I would want to see the payment cleared in my bank account before I shipped. If the payment was incorrect I would've used Package Intercept and had the package returned and refunded the buyer.

The link also shows the buyers name, The revision made on the 29th was made 3 minutes after listing item and it sold 7 minutes after that.

"so next day 8/29/2020 at 12:49pm i listed the mirrors for $2529.00 then at 12:57pm i sent the buyer a message with this link "
Thhen "at 1:oopm he buys them done deal"
Last updated on Aug 31, 2020 13:57:25 PDT
Removed information on this date. Not good to state here or to eBay a case with such info removed.
Of course there is the revisions on
Aug 29, 2020 12:53:05 PM PDT Buy It Now Price:
So here is again a problem with the statments made by the OP:
this of course is the most likly error made by the OP. They missed a number it the revisioon and did not catch it.
Some thing is way wrong with this deal,
and I do not think it is eBays
An easy time line to see the mistake is BUY the OP not eBay.
The listing did not get the full time to update before purchase so the listing shows
as sold for the price before the change: not the price shown to the purchaser.
So time line is:
8/29/2020
12:49pm i listed the mirrors for $2529.00
(supposedly at the price stated).
12:53:05 PM PDT Buy It Now Price:
Shows that the price was changed after stated time line of listing for $2529.00.
12:57pm i sent the buyer a message with this link
1:oopm he buys them done deal.
So the question really is: at 12.53 who changed the price???
This does not appear to be done by eBay that is for sure.

No, the link doesn't show the buyers name. SIGN OUT and then click on that link and you will see what we see. You see the buyer's name because eBay doesn't hide their name from you. What we see says the listing was ended by the seller. A listing that ends with a buyer will say sold on the same line as the item price.
11-12-2020 07:34 AM
No sold on this listing and no purchaser is shown to us.
This is:
"This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available"
This shows you ended the listing.
It does not show a relisting.
The revisions show this.

if you read all the message it said i would give him 10% off the price. start price was $2800.00.(i know i was off $9.00). So tell me why when you could click on the link i sent the buyer, the link he used to buy item it said the price was $2529.00 and why did it have his name as the buyer.
