Two calls to support and the same answers. No result in any help with trying to add my Chime Checking to my eBay account for payouts. I spoke to Chime and they stated ebay had not even tried to verify my account. I spoke to two different eBay support people and they both said they were escalating my ticket, but almost a week now and nothing. Has anyone actually been successful in adding a Chime checking g account for payouts?

It's hit or miss with Chime. Some sellers said they just kept trying and finally it worked. Or not.

Chime isn't a bank, but a few have got it to work for a little while.

I understand that, but their checking accounts are legit and eBay has them listed in the list of banks to select from, and their support has never said the do not support Chime accounts. Just don’t think it’s worth it for me to go through all the trouble to open another checking account to satisfy eBay. They should have other options for customers.

I don't know why they have Chime listed, since it's not a real bank.
The checking account might be legit, but again, it's not a real bank.
Sorry, that's the only option they have now and don't see it changing anytime soon..

It's an alternative option if you don't want to add your personal bank account to the managed payments pay out:
Get a Walmart Green Dot bank account
Use it only for your ebay transactions. It's free to order on line, provides a bank and routing number and is perfectly legitimate. I use one for my ebay transactions and a separate one for my other sites. I have had it for years an no problems. You'll see ebay accepts as a bank. Give it a shot.
Have a great day.

With Chime, eBay kept popping up with a something went wrong, please try again later...
My solution was to try morning, afternoon and evening for approximately 2 weeks. One of those times, the process just completed successfully. Been awhile now. Chime works perfectly. Chime works better than my "real" bank (that also worked great). With most deposits to chime, the deposit for eBay to Chime completes the same day. My "real" bank took 1-3 days for the deposit to complete.
I believe I selected Chime from the eBay list of banks. I've read that a different user said eBay was having problems with the number of leading zeros in the routing/account numbers which he changed and got Chime to work.
Good luck!

I am having the same issue, and yes Chime is just the app, the actual bank that holds the account is The Bancorp Bank which is real; I never had any issues with it anywhere else. I also tried PayPal checking account (you would think anything PayPal would work with eBay) and got the same error message. Called support and they escalated and escalated again and finally said they are aware of the issue, are working on fixing it, and that IT will follow up - I am sure they will. Doesn't sound very promising and doesn't sound related to just Chime either. Worst thing is that I have money stuck in eBay now and there is no other way to get it out, no option to send a check, or connect your PayPal account, or anything else. I guess I will keep trying...

Pay Pal isn't a bank either, so it won't work.
It needs to be checking account through a real bank.

I was able to create a WalMart Moneycard account and enter in that account info, which worked. The only issue I see with going this way is that there is a $5.95 monthly fee unless you get $600 or more in direct deposits per month.

I agree I am having the exact same problem. I have been arguing with ebay for 3 weeks now

You are misinformed my friend, you must not actually use Chime. You have a routing number and account number through Chime, which is partnered with Bancorp. I have used Chime for my direct deposits with my job for over a year now. eBay also lists Chime as a valid bank that you can link to your account in several different places.

ebay support told me to open a chime bank since my own bank account isn't working. so i doubt that'd tell someone that unless they actually accepted the bank.
