This is my first experience as an eBay seller and it has been over 60 days of trying to receive payout. I have followed all of the instructions for authentication, using an eBay shipping label, the buyer has confirmed ultimate satisfaction in their purchase, I have even submitted my personal identification, social security number and bank statements to prove my identity, along with proof of purchase for the item that I sold. I have reached out to customer support via chat and over the phone, and I continue to receive conflicting information about my account status and payout. i am really concerned that eBay is scamming sellers and keeping our money (in this case thousands of dollars) I see that a lot of sellers have had this same complaint, has anyone had a successful resolution?

You didn’t mention if you signed up with managed payments. You need to be signed up in order to receive your payouts.

No I’m not. The account won’t allow me to add my banking information.

I’m sorry that this is happening to you as well. I’m trying to stay positive and optimistic but it really feels like I was taken advantage of as a seller and it’s so difficult to get a straight answer from anyone in customer support.

If you can't provide a checking account, you can't get paid.
After awhile, the funds will be sent to your states unclaimed property and you can get it from them.

Maybe your bank isn't approved.
Or maybe it's because there's a policy that says new sellers can list 10 items valued at $500 per month, and maybe eBay is concerned you exceeded that and since your item was over $500 they might try and hold the payment for 6 months in case the happy buyer decides to file a chargeback or a PayPal dispute 180 days later.
I'm surprised they haven't asked for a receipt as well.
New sellers should sign up for managed payments and make certain their bank is approved before listing. It seems like a trick, like a gotcha to let you list first and then
you find out your bank is a problem.
Sorry this is happening.
Please send me a double meat BBQ from Doumars.
Just kidding.
I used to live on Hollywood Dr off of Battlefield Blvd. Sure miss that place.

Which bank have you tried to add as your payout source?
It needs to be a checking account if I am not mistaken.
Some banks are accepted, some are not.
Try what @ebooksdiva suggested above.
Post what bank and type of bank account you are trying to add.

You need a bank routing number...which would be connected to your debit credit card. Need to go into your bank and ask a clerk what the bank routing number is. This is usually the problem. Plus add your debit credit card on file with eBay. Just a thought.
Your name and address has to be connected to the account....not someone else or with other family members.
