any conceivable way to fix ridiculous problem of getting payout and then having no funds to ship ?

This morning ebay sent me 127 for my weekly payout with their glorious new required system.

One hour later they charged me 55 for last weeks fees due. So I went to minus 55 dollars.

Today I sold 3 items for 20 bucks. I cannot ship any of them because I have a minus 37 dollar balance.

So I cannot ship the items until I sell maybe 50 more bucks worth of stuff. Or I have to go to the post office and do it manually.

How many moronic new ideas can they come up with to mess up the system this month?

you can pay for shipping thru paypal.........just go to the bottom of the shipping page and change it.......that will remain the default until you change it back.........I presume if there are no funds in paypal , paypal will charge your back up source.......either cc or bank account.......

Ebay must have sent the $127 to the bank account.........so she's at a minus in the MP account.......and can't figure out how to pay with a cc or bank balance, I presume..........

It is possible that operating capitol may now be seen as a plus. Don't make it any harder than it is.  It is a business.

0 balance minus $55 for new fee = -($55.00)

-($55.00) + $20  = -($35.00)

Apparently you cannot buy shipping labels when you have a negative balance in MP.  Don't know if you can do it if you have a ZERO balance either.   This would happen if you had a buyer complaint and payment hold as well as soon as your payout was made would it not? 

If so, you would have to fund the hold first before you could print labels?

I'm with @dhbookds. I've been in MP since Fall, 2019 and choose to have my shipping debited from my bank account. Once you have a zero balance, you can set your 'Preferred' method (for shopping online) to anything in your PayPal wallet. I buy my labels on eBay, MP reaches through PayPal to debit my bank account. Some sellers even use a credit card. There are workarounds, I'm just sayin'. Good luck.

Is it possible to get a debit card for your bank account, and then add that debit card as a funding source on eBay? (Honest question, I have not set up a payment source on eBay other than PayPal for 20 years.)

The option I chose was to switch to weekly payouts, and make sure I print all my Tuesday labels on Monday night.

I can attest that if you have nothing in MP or a neg balance........Ebay won't float the shipping.....I've been caught twice.....had to change to PP for a funding source for a label. 

Having said that......it was before they were deducting from pending payments for what used to be invoice charges.  I'm not in that, so don't know if any changes were made.  That's really going to probably throw alot of people into a neg balance "suddenly"...........

That's what I do - Paypal is simply a secondary funding option and I shift to it if need be for labels.

Definitly found it to my advantage to leave my pay pal account intact I can use MP to pay if funds are available or can switch and use pay pal it is my choice.

You absolutely can pay for shipping labels in Ebay labels with funds from your pending payouts. They do not have to be "available" to use.
On the label page make sure you check "Paying with your pending payouts" at the bottom by the purchase button.

If you get some kind of error saying their isn't enough funds it is just an error. I have had this happen before. Close the label page and go back to your selling page. Then start over with the label process and it should go through.

Same thing happened to me. When I spoke to someone at Ebay. I was told there was nothing they could do.. I was to ship items using my Paypal account. Well since going to managed payments, my Paypal account does not have much money in it, so then I had to transfer money from my personal bank account, which takes 3-5 days.. This way of collecting subscription fees is so STUPID..  If they would not take DAYS to process the payments, maybe it would be better. Ebay needs to rethink how they are doing this process. I think we should have the option to pay it out of our bank account, like it was before. I think that Ebay NEEDS to hire people that have banking / finance background to do this stuff.. It really kills a small business on Ebay. If that is what they want, then allow us to close the store without penalties! If I could close my store with paying penalties, I would do it in a heartbeat!  So sad Ebay..

since ebay no longer sends sales money to paypal my paypal is empty, then it takes 3-5 business days to get money in there. paypal no longer prints shipping labels on a zero balance nor do they apparently charge your credit cards for the shipping costs, at least they have not been allowing that for me. 

after i complained ebay did start letting me pay for labels with a negative balance, maybe it was a glitch? or to move things along....
