Your action is needed

I have no problem with giving out my information to Ebay since I have been a member since 1999.  I switched to managed payment in December 2020 and I have no complaints with that either.  But now, after all I have given them they are holding my payments???  Why??  And for some reason I can't find a phone number to contact them?

"Thank you for being a valued member of eBay.

In order to complete our verification process, we are asking you to provide a front and back of your photo ID (such as a passport or driver's license or National ID Card). Your ID will be used to validate the identity information you provided previously. We also request that you upload a copy of a recent bank statement so we can verify your bank details.

Until you provide us with this documentation, your payouts are on hold.

If your eBay account information does not match your ID exactly, we also ask that you update any information that differs from your ID before you proceed with the upload.

Please ensure the ID document you provide includes your:

  • Full legal name and the ID number
  • Date of birth

Additionally, the document you provide needs to:

  • Be current (not expired)
  • Be in color
  • Contain the full document with no part of the document obscured or cropped
  • Contain the complete MRZ code (if providing a passport)
  • Contain Front and Back of the ID document (if providing driver's license/National ID Card)
  • Be an official government-issued ID document

Also, please upload a bank statement that:

  • Includes the name and address of the account owner or business entity
  • Includes the bank's name
  • Includes transaction details
  • Lists the bank account number (at least the last 4 digits) which must match the bank account on file with eBay
  • Is less than 3 months old"

What is this???

Thanks,

Tina Moore

@mooretomatoes

But you can't get paid by eBay without it. We all empathize, but follow the instructions. Hang in there.

Yep you are right!  I will never buy again.  I will never sell again!  They are withholding my money the day before they should have deposited it.  I wasn't much, but they had been depositing it before for the last 3 years!  What changed?  I can't even find a phone #?

Re: Your action is needed

If you have had a break from selling, and then recently started again, eBay treats such an account as a “new seller” account, subject to holds and verification. Does this apply?

Is there another account that's being questioned? This account (@mooretomatoes) has only been a member since 2017.

I have been selling for the past two years with no breaks.  Almost every week.

Yes because I changed my user name from tina12 to mooretomatoes in 2017.  For some reason it shows me a user since 2017.  But I got my 20 year anniversary gift from them a couple of years ago.

Re: Your action is needed

This is bull. No one needs that much of your personal information. You are not getting anything from ebay that doesn't belong to you.  I don't like this at all.
