Hi, I haven't been paid since mid November, I can't register my bank account. As of Today Dec24 the only option I see to register a bank account is the one where you log in to your bank through Ebay, my bank is there and I have no problem to log in BUT it outputs a WRONG routing number! My routing number is NOT the one that appears automatically, the system then asks if everything is right (which is not) but there is no option to change the routing number, the only option is to press "Change Bank" and we are back to square one. Neither Paypal nor the IRS have had any trouble using this bank account with the right routing number.
When I first tried to register my bank account there were more options, like uploading an account statement (which I did), but now I can't seem to find them, only the one available is where you sign up with your bank's id and password, I got a "Direct Deposit" document from the bank a couple of weeks ago that I would like to upload, it has all the info needed, if that document doesn't do the trick I don't know what will.
Can someone please help me? I need the money from my sales and I want to keep selling.

I would call your bank next week and find out if they have more than one routing number. Many large banks can have 100s of routing number and some of them may only be used for certain types of transactions. You bank should be able to tell you if the routing number you are getting is right or wrong.

Thanks for the reply, not sure how it works but I know the routing number that shows up after signing in through Ebay's automatic sign up is NOT my routing number, what would the bank tell me? I'm not sure how can my bank fix this issue, they haven't done anything wrong that I can see, I know the routing number they gave me is good, I have used it on Paypal and the IRS.

Are you confusing the routing number with your account number? Routing numbers have nine digits ALWAYS.
Account numbers have 10-12 digits.

Nope, as I've said, been using this account number-routing number combo elsewhere for years without trouble, thanks for the reply.

I think (not certain) that the problem might be logging into your account via a third party, in this case “pay with my bank” I really don’t know who they are but their terms of service IMO are questionable.
When I got the invitation I had to scroll all the way to the bottom of the sign up page to reach the block that allows you to enter the routing and account numbers manually.
Checked the numbers, checked again before hitting the continue button.
I am on vacation until the new year so do not have confirmation that it worked.
PS. you have changed your bank login details, yes?

I did use the third party sign in they have set up (against my best judgement), I too didn't feel right signing in with my bank's credentials on Ebay but I thought that would make the bank's account registration process flawless, it didn't.
I know the option of manually putting the information without a linked bank but it leads me to a dead end too, telling me that they couldn’t use my old account and need a new one, do I really need to open a new bank account just to see if it is good enough for Ebay?
I haven't changed my bank's login details, thanks for the reply and suggestions.

1) Change login credentials, just to be safe.
2) (I hate to say it)
but try to get hold of a Managed Payments rep on line or phone.
Good luck.

Going from seller to serf in a overseas supply chain factoring arrangement is tempting when the alternative is store annihilation. But for "eBay" to downplay data privacy concerns when third-parties to it here are without limit is predatory, disingenuous, and irresponsible.

Where shall I go? What shall I do?
