Why is my payout "declined?"

Since we moved over to managed payments, we haven't had any problems getting the money paid to the checking account. Yes, it takes too long, but the money has arrived. Until today.
Today, it declined a payout. There is nothing on the Payments pages explaining WHY the payout was declined. Since all the other payouts have gone through, what's different about this one? There's been no e-mail explaining what's going on, no note on the ebay page of an issue with any of the payments, nothing. I've scoured the Community Board, but I'm not finding any answers as to why payouts are declined.
Does anyone have the answer or know where I can find the information?

I got the same message this morning. Had a conversation with my bank as well and found the same thing - the issue isn't on their end. I've had zero issues with payouts since August and have made no changes to my account info. at eBay.
Glad to hear it wasn't just me. I just hope the payout is reinitiated quickly and subsequent payouts this week go through as they should.

I just saw my declined payment message too, message was from 7:55 am CST.

The whole eBay site is acting up today.
Payouts is totally missing. No automated feedback for buyers has been left.
Same "it's your banks fault the payout failed" nonsense.
It's eBay. Expect it to be sketchy...

THIS is the very reason I refuse to purchase a shipping label and send the item until the "payout" has hit my bank account!! I've been selling on eBay since 2000 and USED to think it was the cat's meow. For the last 3 years things have been going downhill with many issues occurring that never should have happened. This 'Managed Payments' is just another in a long line of the execs at eBay getting greedier and greedier for a bigger piece of the pie. They need to contact the execs at Mercari and Poshmark to learn how it SHOULD be done if they are going to hold your money. I've been selling on both of those for about 4 years now with nary a hiccup!

My place in the queue was 114 minutes. This is probably a MAJOR glitch in the eBay platform. Proves they weren't ready to forcibly roll so many of us over to managed payments!

Just chiming in to add that my payout (~$400) for this morning got "declined" as well. Seems to be the system doesn't know what it's doing today.
(first time I've had an issue with payouts)

Also jumping in to say that I had the same issue. Ebay had me calling my bank wondering if my account had been hacked or some other issue. Ebay needs to issue some sort of message to sellers explaining the fault on their end.

I'm running into the same issue. I only sell a few things here and there so by no means making a living off of eBay. I used PayPal prior to the forced switch and had no issues whatsoever getting paid besides the fact it took forever to receive.
The first sale after switching to the new Managed Payments I received a message saying "We ran into a problem" and that my payment didn't go through because they "ran into a problem with my bank". I tried to relink my bank account and it wouldn't even let me sign into my account through the eBay portal.
I can't even get in contact with support. It directs you straight to the Q&A. I can see why because of all these people affected but this is just ridiculous.

We have four total account on ebay two payments went through and two were declined, to make matters worse the money no longer shows up in the pending / available funds so now we need to keep track of the $5700 eBay is "holding" of ours with no record of where it is sitting.

The " Please check to see if the bank account information you entered is correct or contact your bank for details" is a generic response, If anyone gets real feedback from ebay kindly let us know here.

It's sad really. Our company has kept selling on Ebay through so many "issues" because despite the trouble, it was the platform where we were making the most money. Our Etsy is now making about half what our Ebay sales are, so not much longer before we can seriously consider moving on. This was just one more nail in the coffin for us.
