Why is ebay asking for payment options when I try to start a listing when I am managed payments?

Hello, I am trying to list items and now all of the sudden it is asking for payment options before I make a listing? Why? It has never done this before and I am a managed payments seller so shouldn't the fees be coming out of my payments? And I have 200 free listing a month so why are they asking for payment options?

When I got to list something, as soon as I press List it takes me to put in an Automated Payment Method, where it says "We'll use this payment method to charge you any fees relating to your selling activity, for buyer reimbursements and for any other future eBay charges" so does that mean they will only be charging me when needed?

Now I understand. Yes... eBay is asking for a Payment Method for any fees associated with your listings. It has nothing to do with Final Value Fees, but would be used if eBay needs to invoice you for listing upgrades (Bold, Reserve Price, etc.), or for shipping fees you might incur with UPS or FedEx.

You need to add a bank account or credit card in case you are invoiced.

MANAGED PAYMENTS selling fees based on (purchase price + shipping costs + sales tax) and whatever is leftover gets deposited directly into your bank account.

LISTING FEES are different from SELLING FEES.   I realize you have 200 free listing but when these rollover and relist you will be charged.   EBAY wants you specify if you want Listing Fees deducted from your BANK ACCOUNT or  PAY PAL.

You are welcome! Note that it will also be used in case you need funding for refunds, etc. It's just policy... no biggie.
