Uber has it, mercari has it, door dash has it.
I'm sorry but what is ebays excuse?
Not everyone wants to wait 4 day for payment. That's just stupid already and I'm tired of it.
The seller dashboard is a mess and getting paid is a snails pace.
Ebay must be on crack these days lol.

The payment has to be processed before they receive the funds to send out.
They don't front the funds like Pay Pal did.

Sellers can require immediate payment. Just tick the box when you set up your BIN listings.

With posh____, sellers don't get paid until AFTER the item is delivered and then up to 3 days more for the buyer to accept, so we're talking up to about 10 days.
But not even that if the buyer opens a return and is approved. If that happens, the seller never gets paid, plus they have to pay for return shipping for non-remorse returns.

Pardon me, I could be wrong, but I think the OP means payments from ebay not the buyers. Maybe I read that wrong?

Same with Mercari, unless they've changed things since I sold there. And once your money was available, if you wanted an instant transfer to your bank you had to pay $2.

eBay hasn't offered any 'excuses' for doing business like the vast majority of online platforms. PayPal was the exception in providing 'instant payment'.
