What, no posts about the new immediate payment requirement for accepted offers???

Just saw a video about it by Rockstar Flipper on Youtube. He showed the screen that a buyer now gets when they want to make an offer, asks what payment method they want to have (immediately) charged if the seller accepts.  Apparently it's in Beta so it won't happen with all offers.  The thing that really surprises me is this: if they could figure out a way to take immediate payments for offers sent in this direction, why haven't they done it in the other direction (where a watcher-buyer accepts an offer made by the seller, but then gets days to pay)?  If anything that should be the easier one, since the approval is made by the party who will pay, in real time, so why can't THAT trigger an automatic payment screen?
Anyway, hopefully the buyer-to-seller offer  immediate payment is just the first and the other will follow, and just in itself it is incredible news, honestly I am kind of in shock, and I don't know how (or why) ebay apparently kept it secret until launching, but it's the biggest seller advantage change I've ever seen, that's for sure.

So, I still have not been able to find anywhere whether this also makes offers sent by selleNoners and accepted by buyers require immediate payment.  Anybody know?

No, not that I have heard of..........The test referred to is just a test......they may try other tests.........

good, they should have been doing that all along, I rarely do offers or accept them, but on other platforms that have offer feature if it's accepted it's charged immediately and so should ebay. Waiting to get paid by buyer is ridiculous, then having to file unpaid item etc... when they don't...then having to wait 2 days for payment to clear MP, then another day or more depending on your bank to actually get said money...this is good IMO, maybe some will think not, just my opinion.

I sell on another site that has immediate payment for offers going both ways! It is great! That site also has a 3 day window to inspect your items! The buyer has 3 days to inspect the items and leave feedback. After they give feedback then the money is released after they give feedback. That is great! I get my money in 3 days although it does take 5 days to put it in a bank account.

That beats 180 days that it takes to guarantee that the dale is 100% final!

@imakesugar i sell there also 😆 (seriously, i do, and it is a good feature...when they rate, some don't and have to wait the entire 3 days for close transaction) the nice thing is that once it's rated the sale is final, buyer cannot dispute anything after rating.

I know you're not supposed to SAY other platforms' names here although I see people get away with it all the time.  Could you ....like...... say without saying what platform you're talking about?  LOL, like is it the one that rhymes with Betsy?   Or the one that sounds like a mix of MERcedes CAR -I ?  Or ......  some other one?

the Mercedes car... I don't usually say the names myself, but whatever. Sales when none here need to come from somewhere, and i know/see people who sell amazon say amazon all the time 😆

I'm surprised people still follow him.

There have been post about it, from both, buyers and sellers.

Who the Rockstar Flipper? Oh I definitely don't, but I do watch various reseller videos now and then so random ones come up in my suggested feed, and the title of this one was just too compelling to ignore.

Just as long as you keep an open mind as many of those self proclaimed experts aren't anywhere near being an expert and are many times just plain wrong.

I don't believe you.  I think you love offers and wrote this reply with some unexplained goal in mind, some strange reverse psychology to encourage others to love offers like you do.  That sounds kinda nuts I admit, but the only alternative explanation would be that you actually think people care if you care about the feature, so you grace everyone with your "input" every chance you see ......... and only a self-absorbed weirdo would do that.

I don't use them either.  For me, I don't like them so I never use them.  Not everyone likes best offer which is why not all sellers use them.  I suppose they are good on some things and not so much on others.  Every tool Ebay offers isn't necessarily the correct tool for every listing.

LOL!  What I don't understand is why anyone would take a question about something they don't use as if it's asking who does or doesn't use it.

LOL!  Maybe your rude remarks to @mrdutch1001 in your post #24.

Not sure what is confusing @gurlcat .  I gave you the number from your post that inspired mine.  I can't offer you anything beyond that.
