Trying to add a credit card in Payments section of Seller's Account, eBay's system is telling me to pound sand.  Been like this for almost 2 weeks now (and there were threads closed from users having similar issues in April).  This is very annoying.  Tried 2 different cards, system can't verify either one.  Fees and postage were directed to bank account when the credit card was in there.   Deleted card, trying to put it back, won't verify.   Called CC company, they said the card is fine (and they are right).  Right on Christmas too.   Why?

Talked to 3 eBay reps via text chat, all three couldn't solve the issue but tried as well as possible and issued a report and to not worry.  Yeah......anyone having similar issues or am I the Lone Wolf here?  Thanks.

Ebay no longer accepts Paypal as a payment method for some weird reason.

I have had this issue since I first posted this thread, and I am still having it.  There is some security going on from the CC company and eBay, from which a CC wanted a re-verification. The software seems to be stuck on being unable to kick the card back in place as a seller since it isn't a purchase and eBay isn't charging the card $0.00 to reinstall it.  You can purchase as a buyer by re-entering the card, but eBay's software is not allowing the account to kick in as a seller even though it will be in file inside your account.

Much like for example, you buy something at Staples, and you think it goes through, then you get an email from the CC company asking "was this you", and then you have to go and cancel the purchase (as it never happened) and repurchase it all over again (so annoying).  This is what's happening on eBay, but eBay is not authorizing any purchase when trying to make it the main method for outstanding fees and postage costs.  It all might be fixed in 5 years.

Giving it a week and canceling my account. Called my bank and everything checks out with my card. It works on Ali Express,  Amazon and every other place I use for card payments. Ebay is just past its time now. Site is too old and out of date. And I no longer have patience to put in the effort for bull**bleep**.

Same issue.   Card works fine everywhere else.  No messages on card website.  eBay payments problem.  And, I can't seem to be able to pay with PayPal anymore, which is doubly irritating.

I have the same issue. I tried to add different card, now it tells me Please ensure that the billing address you entered matches the address on the card. So Its either the the system can't verify the card of you will be start in one way or another.

yes its happened repeatedly to me, i got disgusted with ebays non-help and incompetence and walked away.  no regrets. i think ebay had a virus, or merely a problem with a certain browser. i tried IE  but that was a hassle in itself . in just got tied of all the time wasted and said 'never again'  ebay doesnt seem to care either. its too 'big to fail' we'll see
